A Prettie Birthday Party!!

Here we are celebrating another Prettie Girl birthday and I am so excited!! Today is my fellow Prettie, Christi's birthday!! The first stop on the Birthday Party Blog Hop is Christie's blog, so if you haven't been there yet, go there to get started!! I am the last official stop on this celebrational hop, so when you leave here, I am going to send you off to Christi to wish her a happy birthday!!
For today's party, I decided to bring some entertainment, so I used Ballerina Sophia. I stamped her on Gina K. white with Memento Tuxedo Black. She was then colored in with my Copics and layered with Bashful Blue and Pacific Point. All the ribbons are from SU, as well as the brads. The spiral clip was bought at Hobby Lobby. My DP is from the Basic Grey Marrakesh line.

Well, that is it for me now, thanks for stopping by!! Now, off to Christi's!! Happy Birthday Girl, we luv ya!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mom's out there, but ESPECIALLY my own mom, I LOVE YOU!!!

A Challenge, ON TIME!!

I should be in bed, but it has been SO long since I played in an SCS challenge on time that I just had to play!! I decided to participate in today's Inspiration Challenge, which I paired with this week's Sketch Challenge. For today's Inspiration, we were to be inspired by something on the Bonjour Mon Cousin website. I chose this pillow as my inspiration. I used the colors, and I don't know if you can see the shoes stamped on the middle strip, but they were stamped with Versamark. The colors are Eggplant Envy and Kraft. I stamped the main image, from the There She Goes She's A Lady Set, on Gina K. White with Memento Tuxedo Black. The image was then colored in with my Copics. The purse was stamped separately and then added on. My ribbons and punches for the sentiment are from SU, the brads are by the Paper Studio.
Well, that is it for me now, thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Thank You!!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your emails, comments and kind words!! When I am having an off day, they will certainly help to lift my spirits!! I have a HUGE headache, and I haven't had a chance to stamp today, but LUCKILY, I have a few cards that I haven't shared, so I thought I would show this one today!! I made it a few weeks ago as part of the Little Paper Shop's April release. I used the new Forest Critters set. I stamped the cutie patootie porcupine and tree on Gina K. White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then paper pieced the tree with some Hawaiian Papaya DSP(which is what the rest of the card uses as well). The rest of it was colored with my Copics. I used SU ribbons and brads, and a Creative Express Spiral Clip...by the way, for those of you that are always asking where I get these, I just ordered some from AC Moore, yayy!! My sentiment is from the Little Paper Shop Puppy Love set. It was punched out with my SU oval punch, and then layered on two SU circle punches. The colors on this card are Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss. The sketch is one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketches from a few weeks ago. Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Personal Post and a Prettie Share

So, I let some people know my "news" tonight at the My Favorite Things release party, so I figured it was time to share it here. Recently, I was away from my blog, and stamping for about two weeks. I am NEVER absent, and in fact used to post everyday. I am still working on getting back to that, but I feel the need to explain my absence....don't ask why, I have no clue. Honestly, I think it is therapeutic for me to talk about it out loud, in a sense. So, on March 13th, FRIDAY March 13th, my (now ex) husband decided that he no longer wished to be married. I was SHOCKED to say the least, and completely overwhelmed. Within two days, with the help of my AMAZING family, I had packed up and moved every thing that I could possibly want out of the house(except for the hand mixer-got no CLUE why I didn't grab that-oh ya, I hate to cook). Within a week, we were both in the lawyers office, and by the first week, yes I said FIRST week of April, we were divorced. INSANE RIGHT?? Before you all start to worry about me and feel bad, which you may still, I am doing REALLY good. I am stamping, which is what I love, and my family has stepped up and taken care of me. I am now living with my Dad(and sister part time), which is a tad demeaning, but very cost effective, and still carrying on life as usual. Eventually, I will have to get a job where I actually get paid(I was watching Jared for free...I still watch him, but I do get paid a little now), but for now, my situation is good and my spirits are high. In fact, I can't believe how depressed I had let myself get, until it was over. I had known for awhile that things were not the way they should be, but I guess I had turned a blind eye because him making the decision completely caught me off guard. Apparently, I took vows, he just "repeated after me", if you know what I mean!! Don't get me wrong, I am still terrified of the unknown. I have always wanted kids, and I am afraid that with my infertility issues, I won't ever be able to have my own. I am terrified that I will end up alone and broke...but for now, I am taking things one day at a time. This too shall pass, and I will be better for it!! With all that said, I want to publicly thank all the FABULOUS Design Teams that I work for for being so sweet, supportive, and understanding. To all my friends that have sent me RAK's, countless PM's and emails, and gifts galore, I want you to know that each and every one of you mean more to me than you will ever know. I look at your cards everyday and I wonder how I ever got so lucky to meet so many beautiful, kind and caring people. You really, truly mean the world to me and I don't know how I would have made it through without yours and my families support!!
Okay, are you still here and thoroughly depressed?? SORRY if you are, but I do have a VERY PRETTIE card for you!! It was made with the June Stamp of the Month, Give Thanks. I actually made this card as part of one of the Prettie Pajama Party Challenges, and Danielle's sketch from this past Thursday. I started By stamping my GORGEOUS Sophia...yes she is my favorite, feel free to laugh..I know I say that about all of them, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then stamped the girl on a piece of Hawaiian Papaya DSP. The dress was paper pieced and the rest of the girl was colored in with my Copics. I then layered her with Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip and Kraft cardstock. The Chocolate DSP is from the same Hawaiian Papaya pack. The Tangerine Tango layer was run through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. I stamped my sentiment with the same ink and paper, and then punched it out with my SU oval punches. The ribbon is from MFT, part of the new Chocolate Kiss bundle, and my spiral clip is from Creative Express. I used two Corduroy buttons from SU with a tiny piece of Tangerine Tango threaded through them. Isn't she a CUTIE PIE!! You have until May 31st at midnight to get signed up to have her mailed to you before she is released to the public, how cool is that??!!
Well, that is it for me now..thanks for stopping by and for listening, if you actually read my post. Have a great day!!

My Favorite Sketch Thursday

So, did you go to the My Favorite Things release party tonight?? It was SO fun, and there were a TON of awesome cards shared!! I have a bunch of extras, so you will be seeing them soon, but for now, I have a card that I made for this week's MFT sketch!! I used my new Owls and Bluebells stamp from the MFT Presents line...I just LOVE Stephanie Fizer's images..how about you? I stamped my image on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored it with my Copics. It was then cut out, along with it's More Mustard layer, using my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. I then cut out a piece of Pink Flamingo DSP from SU and a Tempting Turquoise layer using my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. The sentiment was stamped the same way, but I punched it out with my SU circle punches. The ribbon is from SU as well as the brads. I just LOVE this layout, and The colors are just too fun!! What do you think? Wanna play along, just use the keyword MFTSC80 when uploading your cards.Upload your card to the gallery by midnight 13th May to be in the running to win a $5 store gift certificate. Sound good?
Well, that is it for me now..thanks for stopping by!!

Prettie Wednesday- Making it New Again!!

Does anyone else out there get a tiny bit overwhelmed with their stamp collection? Trust me, I wouldn't get rid of my stamps unless I had to, but sometimes I tend to only use what is new to me, and forget about all the fun stuff from before. That is why I challenged the Prettie Girls to Make It New Again!! Two week's ago, I issued my challenge, and the girls were to pull out one of their oldest Prettie Stamps that they never use. Mine ended up being Bunny Slippers Sophia. I just love her, but I haven't used her in AGES!! I started with Jen del Muro's sketch and stamped my Bunny Slippers on Gina K. White. I then colored her in with my Copic markers. She was layered with Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Chocolate Chip. The DP is from the retired Rose Red Prints DSP. My sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black and then punched out with my SU oval punches. I added some SU ribbons, brads, and a spiral clip and it was done!! Now be sure to go around and check out what all the other Prettie Girls have cooked up for this challenge. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Welcome to the Hop!!

It is FINALLY time for another My Favorite Things blog hop, and I am SUPER excited about this month's release!! On top of 4 FABULOUS sets, we are releasing several new accessories that are to DIE for!! If you want more info on what is being released, check out this thread!!
Today's hop started at Kim's blog, so if you haven't been there..you need to go back!! Now, if you are here, you should have come from Jody's blog, where I am SURE she had something fabulous for you to see!! After you leave here, you will need to go to Frances' blog, but don't leave yet..you haven't even seen my cards, LOL!!
Okay, all kidding aside...the first set I am using today is the new Stephanie Fizer set, Owls and Blue Bells. As you can see, my bluebells are orange, but I decided long ago that when stamping, animals and flowers can be whatever color I want them to be, and I am sticking to it!! I started by stamping my image on an MFT Perfect Panel and then I colored it in with my Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped the same way, then punched out with my middle sized oval punch. I then layered it on my circles(all SU punches), in Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, and Chocolate Chip. The DP is from the Hawaiian Papaya DSP. The ribbons are all from SU as well, but the spiral clip is by Creative Express.
For my next card, I used the second new Stephanie Fizer set, Snuggle Bunnies. I stamped my bunnies on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored them in with my Copic markers...see pink bunnies..CA-UTE!! My sentiment was added to it as well, and then I layered it with Pink Pirouette and So Saffron. I added some DP from the Delicate Dots and Pink Pirouette Patterns DSP from SU. Bot ribbons are from SU and the spiral clip is from Creative Express. My Scallops were made with the SU Scalloped Edge punch. Aren't they sweet!!
Okay, that is it for me for now!! Now, off to Frances' Blog to see what fabulousness she has cooked up for you-what do you want to bet there are a few owls flying around there??!!

A New Flopsey!!

Here we are at day two of the My Favorite Things release teasers!! For you today, I have a card using the soon to be released Birthday Flopsey. Seriously, I couldn't love this little bunny more if I tried..his big ol ears sucker me in every time!! For my card today, I also used some of the NEW Chocolate Kiss Paper...yummmy!!! It will be released this week, along with a few other new embellishments and accessories that are to die for!! The party happens in the My Favorite Things member forum on Wednesday, May 6th from 8pm to 10pm EST. There are lots of release night specials too, so you wanna make sure you are there to take advantage of them. Kim has all the details lined out for you here, so if you want more info on the release, what's being released, and all the specials...check out this thread!!
Onto my card!! For my card today, I started by stamping my Flopsey on an MFT Perfect Panel. He was then colored with my copics, cut out using the out of the box technique, and then layered with Regal Rose from SU, and Dark Chocolate from PTI(I know, I fell off the SU only CS wagon and bought a BUNCH of their colors...oiy). The chocolate and light pink ribbons are both from the new MFT Chocolate Kiss Ribbon Nest!! The DP's are both from the Chocolate Kiss 6x6 Paper Pack...seriously, these papers are GORGEOUS!! I added some silver brads, a spiral clip, did a ton of piercing, and my sentiment panel and it was done(the sentiment was punched with my SU oval punches and the Rose grosgrain under the chocolate satin ribbon is from SU)!!
Well, that is it for me now!! Wanna see more peeks..come back tonight at 10pmEST when this months blog hop will start!! Also, check out this gallery on SCS for more peeks of the 4 new sets!! Thanks and have a great day!!

Who's That Girl Monday-and a TEASER!!

Hello, everyone! It is time for another My Favorite Thing release and this month there are four sets that are TO DIE FOR!! I had so much fun creating with these sets that I stamped until the wee hours of the morning last night...I am exhausted today but it was so worth it!! For my peek today, I decided to also play in the Who's That Girl Monday Challenge. This week Joanne and Christina have a challenge I(and they) think you'll love! (these are their words exactly, why rewrite perfection right!!) Why, you ask? Well, because it's a wild card -- YOU get to choose and use your favorite Who's That Girl set! The challenge, however, is this: Use the MFT Colors (black, pink, and white)!Use keyword MFTWTG33 when uploading. Upload your creations by midnight Wednesday, 5/6 for a chance to win a $5 gift certificate to My Favorite Things!

Since we could chose our favorite, I decided on my NEW favorite, Girl's Day In. I am LOVING this set, seriously!! For my card, I used this past Friday's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I paper pieced the chair with some SU DSP(seriously, can't remember the name of it and I am no where near a catalog...don't worry, one of my lovely friends will tell me, lol!!). The rest of the image was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored with my Copics. After coloring, I added some Crystal Effects to the wine glass to make it shiny!! I used more of the DSP in the background and layered it with Regal Rose and Basic Black. The ribbon is also from MFT, and the brads are from SU. Isn't she lovely!!
Well, that is it for me now!! If you wanna see more creations for this challenge, here is the link to the MFTWTG33 Gallery!!

LPS Monday: Flowers for Julia!

Today(well it isn't today, but the party is) is Julia's, owner of the Little Paper Shop, birthday, so we are having a hop to celebrate!! Happy Happy Birthday Julia!! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to work with you all...hope your day is fabulous!! The hop started at Jessica's blog, so if you are just getting here, head back there to get started. When you get here, you should have come from Bonnie's blog!! Also, since today is Monday, that means it is time for another Little Paper Shop blog challenge as well!! Here are all the details!!

April showers bring May flowers, right? That's what I think! So this week's LPS Monday challenge is to simply use ANY LPS stamp set (if you have one, if not, any stamp will do) and incorporate FLOWERS on your card. One lucky winner will be chosen randomly to win a FREE digital image from the Little Paper Shop! All you have to do is leave a comment on today's post(on the Little Paper Shop Blog) telling us you've played along and you'll be entered to win! When you upload your creation to SCS or PCP, be sure to use keyword LPSC14. Thanks for playing and think Spring with this Fresh floral challenge! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Okay, onto the fun stuff!! For my card today, I used my FAVORITE Digi Image, Katie Swing, along with the new set, Growing Old. I know that the set is supposed to be used with the "older" images, but I just love mixing them up with these cute little girlie images!! My color combo is Rose Red, So Saffron, and Old Olive. I was inspired to use these colors by my SU DSP, Junior Varsity. The ribbons are both from SU, the flowers are from Michael's, and the dew drops are by Robins Nest. I colored my image with my Copic markers. I also used Taylor's Cupcake Sketch from this past Friday.

Well, that is it for me now, next stop on the hop is Allison, so head on out to her blog!! Thanks for stopping by!!
