FS102 Stamp_Momma

Today's Featured Stamper was none other than Lori Craig, Stamp_momma. Lori is part of the SCS team, and although I don't know her personally, she is SO sweet and helpful and encouraging...not to mention a ROCKIN stamper!! I had a hard time picking one card to CASE, so I decided to do two in one. The one I REALLY wanted to do was a past sketch challenge, so I decided to use the image from it, and combine it with this card. I have had this stamp set, from Our Craft Lounge, since they opened and have JUST NOW got around to using it(we won't talk about the four other sets I have that I haven't inked...shakes head). It is from the set Dr. Peanut and let me tell you, it is SO CUTE!! I stamped the main image, hearts, grass, flower and sentiment on Gina K. 120lb white with Memento Black ink. I used my Copics and a couple of SU markers to create my scene. My sky is kinda wacky, but I like it, makes it look more real(work with me here people). I stamped the Be Mine heart separately and popped it up. After coloring all of it, I added some Crystal Effects to the hearts and the flower. I followed the layout on this card, and really tried not to change to much. Basically, I changed the image, colors( Rose Red and Regal Rose paired with Basic Grey Bittersweet), and didn't do the stitching...pretty good for me huh!!!
Well, that is it for me for now, thanks for looking and have a great day!!

All Day Inspiration

So SERIOUSLY, it took me all day to FINALLY decide on what to do for today's Inspiration challenge. The sad thing is that I saw this challenge last night and STILL couldn't decide which picture to be inspired by. I finally decided that my Fabulous Flowers set was starting to feel unloved, so I chose this room to be inspired by. I stamped the flower 4 times with Regal Rose ink and cut it out in different layers. I then embossed each layer with clear embossing powder and put the layers together using dimensionals. The glitter dots in the center were bought from All That Scraps, and I SO wish I hadn't put them on here...it was ALMOST an SUO card...poop. I used Sweet Always DSP from SU along with Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. I did a lot of piercing, added some grosgrain ribbon from SU, and then added my sentiment from All Holidays at the bottom. I *think* this is super close to last weeks SFYTT, but I didn't print it out, so I may be wrong wrong wrong(and I was, oh well..LOL)....definitely wouldn't be the first time!! That is it for me now...back to the stamp table!!

Yep, I Did It AGAIN...

I scrapbooked, yayy me. Now, if I could just make pages for ME not someone else I would be cooking with Crisco, LOL!! I am not REALLY a scrapbooker, but I admire people that are. I love the personal touch it gives photos and the memories that they represent. Let's face it, it is WAY better than having all your photos sitting in a shoebox(or forgetting to take your camera everywhere which I am FAMOUS for). I made these two 6x6 pages as part of a gift the Prettie Girls and I got together for our fellow Prettie, Jana. She was SUPPOSED to have her son Jackson in December, but since he came WAY early, we finally got her package out to her. We each sent a gift, some homemade, some not...but let me tell you, it was a box FULL of LOVE!! Now that I KNOW she has received it, I can show you all the pages I made. Instead of cards(which I think we all sent anyway, but hey, she has a HUGE jump on a scrapbook), we decided that we would all make her 6x6 scrapbook pages using the same paper. It was up to each person to decorate them the way they wanted, but we all had to use the same paper. I opted to use my NEVER BEFORE INKED(shameful I tell ya) I'm Here set from SU. I stamped the hand and foot with Soft Sky ink , then I used Chocolate Chip ink to stamp the I'm Here. For the writing, I printed the info out on the computer and then stamped the foot over it. The ribbons are from SU and the brads are from American Crafts. The brads and DP(by American Crafts too, The Muffin Man line) were both purchased in the Paper Pretties boutique(ETA I have had a couple of people ask me for if ALL the DP is part of this line, yes it is, but it is sold out in the boutique, sorry)!! The blank Chocolate Chip spaces are for Jana to add pictures, not that you needed me to tell you that, LOL!! These are pretty simple, but I love them..and I can't WAIT to see them once Jana puts pictures on them!! Thanks for looking!!

It's Late....

and I am still up, so I decided that I might as well participate in the Limited Supplies Challenge for today. Honestly, this card was SO EASY...I think I had it done in 10mins..that is INCLUDING the Cuttlebugging....yayyy me!! The challenge was to make a Valentine that would be easy to reproduce. Only restrictions were that you limit the amount of cutting you did, not too many embellishments, keep it pretty simple, and use only Reds, Pinks, White, Kraft or Black. I opted to just go with Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. I used my brand new, Hundred Hearts set from Verve Stamps. Basically, this card was the big heart stamped in Pink Pirouette, the sentiment stamped with Riding Hood Red, cut and embossed with Classic Circle Nesties, punch two hearts from some Bella Rose DSP with my heart punch, and DONE. I did put another piece of the Bella Rose DSP on the base after Cuttlebugging the white with my Swiss Dots folder. One lonely piece of ribbon, 4 brads and it was FINISHED!! Thanks for looking...now I am off to dreamland!!

Love Owl-Ways

I have to tell you, I am in LOVE with this new set from My Favorite Things. It was released last Wednesday and is just tooo CUTE!! As soon as I saw today's My Favorite Things sketch, I knew I wanted to use these super cute owls, from Owl For All Seasons by Stephanie Fizer, for it. Especially when I saw that it was Frances' turn to post the sketch....you know how she LOVES her owls!! Today's Ways To Use It challenge over at SCS is to use an unusual color combo...not so much unusual, but to either use your color wheel or the website provided to pick your colors. I decided to use my handy dandy color wheel from SU. Although it doesn't have the new in-colors on it, I still LOVE my color wheel. I just received an order from SU today with this yummy Prestwick DSP, so I decided to use Brocade Blue. My color wheel gave me the option of Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip or More Mustard. I went with Chocolate Chip and More Mustard. I really like this manly combo too!! I stamped my owls three times on Gina K. white and colored them all with my copics. I then left one whole for the base, cut out their entire bodies for the second layer, and then just their faces for the last layer. I added a shadow, some piercing, and some American Crafts Chocolate brads. The ribbon tabs are Brocade Blue and Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain, and then I added some Mustard grosgrain. The More Mustard panel on the base was embossed with my Argyle folder....I love that thing!! Well, that is it for me now...need to get back to stamping!! Thanks for looking!!

Prettie Wednesday- A CASE of the Pretties

So, two weeks ago, the fabulous Julie(jmasse) challenged all the Prettie Girls to chose a card from the gallery over at Paper Pretties and CASE it. Well, you know I HAD to CASE my girl Jodi, right?? I remember back when Jodi got her first Paper Pretties stamps, and this was the first card she ever made. Christie and I were FUMBLING around trying to email her as quick as we could to get her to be a PERMANENT member of the team...I am just happy she said yes!! Jodi GENIUS-LY combined both Made With Love and Sweets For the Sweet to make her card, so I had to do the same. I colored my image with my Copics, SU reinkers and a blender pen. The apron was paper pieced with some yummy Bella Rose DSP. The bowl and spoon, as well as the sentiment are from the Sweets For the Sweet set. I did change the colors, paper, embellishments and I punched holes instead of using my white gel pen on the scallops. Looking at this card right now, I realize I forgot to add her pearls!! I was going to use some super cute and super tiny pearl stickers but totally forgot, whoopsie!! Well, rest assured they will be on there BEFORE I mail this out!!
Wanna play along?? Just go to the gallery at Paper Pretties, choose a card, and then send me or one of the other Pretties the link so that we can see your creation!! Thanks for stopping by, no go see what the other Pretties are up to...me, I am back to the stamp table-the DD gallery opens tonight you know!!

That's What I Get..

for NOT printing out the sketch!! What am I talking about? Well, I was TRYING to make a card for Danielle's Prettie Weekly Challenge. Every week Danielle(dlounds) posts a challenge over at Paper Pretties in the challenge forum. Last week, she posted this super cool sketch, and I REALLY wanted to play along. The rules were to FOLLOW the sketch and to use Flutterby or Wade E. Bug. Now, if you don't have those stamps, you can still play, but to be entered to win the $5.00 gift certificate to the Boutique you must upload your creation to the Weekly Challenges gallery(at Paper Pretties) and use keyword PWC34. You have two weeks to enter your card for this challenge. So, you have to have it done by Saturday, January 18th @ midnight. I sat down to do this weeks color challenge at SCS, cause I just KNEW it would be awesome for Wade and for this sketch...and something happened. Maybe it was my little brain on Dirty Dozen overload, but I THOUGHT I had followed the sketch...that's what I get for thinking. I am including a picture of the sketch, just incase you want to play along(and don't want to screw it up like I did). For my card, I used the color challenge colors, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, and Kraft. I stamped my Wade E. Bug image on the craft cardstock using my Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. He was then colored in using my Copic Ciao markers. I added a couple of spiral clips with some kraft taffeta ribbon. I the DP's both came from the Patterns pack that WAS a Hostess Level 1 gift from SU. I used my Cuttlebug and Circle Nestabilities to cut out both circles and to emboss the Whisper White panel, I used the Cuttlbug and distressed stripes folder. My sentiment is from the Paper Pretties set, Bugs and Fishes. I used 4 SU punches to create the layers-word window, scallop circle, 1 3/8ths circle, and 1 1/4 circle. Well, that is it for me now...the new Dirty Dozen gallery opens tomorrow night at midnight and I can't WAIT for you to see who is joining us this time around...although, I am gonna miss Cindy(onehappystamper) and Amy(pickletree) terribly!! Thanks for stopping by, have a Prettie day!!

Remember this sale is only good for Monday-Friday of this week."

Doesn't that just ROCK!!! I think so!! Since you came here, and you have read this far, how about some more eye candy?? After I made my cupcake card from last night, I decided to make a card using the other cupcake in the set. I used all the same materials, I only changed the ribbon and did crystal effects instead. The paper is from the Stephanie Fizer Spring Digital Paper Pack. What I LOVE about the digital paper is the fact that once you buy it, you have it forever. Just save it when you download it and then whenever you need a piece, print it out. No more worrying about using the last piece of your Dp....or is it just me that worries about that?? It takes very little ink to print too. For my paper, I printed it out on Whisper White cardstock from SU. Well, that is it for me now..thanks for looking!!(btw. brads are from SU along with the ribbon and crystal effects, the buttons are from Basic Grey and Prima)
