MFT Meets Scor-Pal Blog Hop!!

Today, we are teaming up with the SUPER talented ladies at Scor-Pal for a Blog Hop, and we are SO excited!! I am a DIEHARD fan of Scor-Pals, and not only do I have the big Scor-Pal, but I LOVE my new Scor-Buddy.....makes my life SO much easier!! My Scor-Pal, and mat, are my work surface, so having the Scor-Buddy makes it to where I don't have to clean off my work surface every time I need to use it!

The master list of everyone hopping can be found on the My Favorite Things Blog, so be sure to head there after you are finished here to see who all is participating!!

For my card tonight, I started with the Inspired By Flowers 2 set, and stamped my Rose on X-Press It Blending card. I colored the rose with my Copics, and then cut it out with my Oval Nesties. After stamping, coloring, and cutting out my flower, I used my Scor-Buddy to create a grid pattern on the main image. LOVE the way this looks. I then layered it with the Oval Open Scalloped Doily Die-namics in Black Licorice. My paper is from the Echo Park Yours Truly pack. I used the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics for my sentiment, and added a tiny rose with my Mini Rolled Rose Die-namics. I embellished my card with some Black Seam Binding from The Ribbon Carousel, and some brads from Michael's.

Here is a close up of the grid.

Stampbook Saturday-Jared

Hey everyone, and Happy Sunday....this post was supposed to go up last night, but I got tired, and forgot...silly girl. It's not like I don't spend ALL DAY attached to my laptop..lol!!

It was my turn to do the Stampbook Saturday post on the There She Goes blog, and I thought I would share it here, too. I am not much of a scrapbooker, but I really do try to step out of my boundaries every once in awhile, and try something new!! NOT SKEERED!!! If you aren't familiar with what Stampbook Saturday is, it's where we take a card, and then make a scrapbook page based on that card.

(card by JESSICA KNUTSEN)

For my page this week, I decided to use this card by our fearless leader, Jessica, as my inspiration. I loved her layout, and since it is There She Goes Again week, I wanted to use one of the TSGA sets!!

I kept the layout, and still used Puppy Love set, but changed the colors and papers. My paper is MME Fine and Dandy Boy paper. I used Hot Fudge, Orange Fizz, and So Saffron paper. My scallops were made with the Jumbo Border from My Favorite Things. I used SU ribbon, and Jute Twine from the Ribbon Carousel. The Dizzy Doily Die-namics was used to cut out my circle background. My photo is of my ADORABLE nephew, Jared. I hand wrote his name and age...and wish I hadn't, but it is what it is! If you don't remember Jared, or are new to my blog, he is my older sister's oldest boy, and I was lucky enough to get to stay home and take care of him for the first 14months of his life. I was so sad when I had to go back to work.:( Isn't he still ADORABLE, though??!! He's a mess, but I love him to pieces!!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by!!

This week's challenge is our sponsored challenge, and this month's sponsor is on of your FAVORITE companies, and definitely one of MY favorite companies...It's My Favorite Things!! Our challenge was to make a child's birthday card, and who DOESN'T need those?? Seriously!!

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C120. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too. There is a $25 gift certificate as the prize this week, so I can't wait to see your entries!!

For my card tonight, I used the Pure Innocence Skater Boy set. I stamped him on X-Press It blending card, and then colored him with my Copics. His shirt was paper pieced with some MME Kraft Funday paper, and then the whole image was layered with Wild Cherry, Black Licorice, and Fossil card stock. I used more Kraft Funday paper for my background, as well. My ribbon is Black Twill from the Ribbon Carousel, and my Jute Twine is as well. I used the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics for my sentiment, and then embellished with the By The Numbers Die-namics, and the Stacking Stars Die-namics.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and another sentiment from this set.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!! Be sure to check out what the other Crazies have created!!
