MFTWSC31 Fallin' For You

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! Since it is Wednesday, technically, it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things!!

For my card tonight, I started by stamping my super cute new Carmel Apple Pure Innocence on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then layered with Sno Cone, Jellybean Green, and Summer Sunrise. My paper is from the Jilibean Soup Pasta Fagioli pack...I just LOVE it. My ribbon is PTI, brads are from Michael's, and my spiral clip is from Creative Express.

For the inside, I used more of the same, and added a sentiment from the set. I also used the Little Open Scalloped Border Die-namics.

My card is also for one of today's AWESOME Dare To Get Dirty challenges, being hosted by ME!!!....not going to tell you what, when, where or why the challenge is/am/ are, but I will tell you where to look!! Fan club members can only see this forum, so if you aren't one, become one!! SCS is one of the GREATEST stamping sites in the WORLD, and the small fee they charge to be a member is well worth it!

I See.... an MFT Release Blog Hop and SHOP!!

Happy My Favorite Things Release Day!! This is one of my most FAVORITE days of the month, and I know it is for you, as well!! As always, tonight's hop started at the GORGEOUS and AMAZING, Kim's blog!! If you didn't get started there, head on back!!

For my card tonight, I couldn't resist using this ADORABLE new à la mode I Spy...isn't she a PEACH!! I stamped her on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. Her dress was paper pieced with some Basic Grey Off Beat paper. I have been going through and organizing a TON since my move, and have SO many unused paper packs it is ridiculous!!! I found this ADORABLE pack in the bunch, and wanted to play with it! I used the Scalloped Ribbon Die-namics to cut out the orange paper strip..that I then pretty much covered up, but hey! The Small Simply Scalloped Die-namics was used, as well. To make her magnifying glass look like glass, I added some Crystal Effects. My flower is the new Rolled Retro Flower Die-namics being released tonight. I really tried to use it with actual paper, but resorted to my felt.....why do these flowers pick on me??lol! My ribbon and twine are both from MFT, and my brads are all from Michael's. I used SU punches for my sentiment. My cardstock colors are Orange Fizz, Sno Cone, and Black Licorice.
My card was also made for Jodi Collin's Dare To Get Dirty challenge.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and another saying from the set...I really do LOVE this paper, and the new a la modes...SO CUTE!!

Well, that is enough jibber jabber out of me!! Next stop on tonight's hop is the SUPER talented, funny, amazing, crazy, wild, awesome, sweet, supportive, and basically just all around ROCKIN Wendy Bond!!!

For my card tonight, I tried to keep it kinda simple....because I TRULY love this set. I love when they put WTG in a circle, it's just awesome!! Anywho, she was stamped on X-Press It blending card, and then both colored with Copics, and paper pieced. I used some October Afternoon Fly A Kite paper, which I paired with More Mustard(SU), Jellybean Green, and Hot Fudge. My ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel. Tonight is a new Ribbon Carousel Crew challenge, and you will PROBABLY see this card over there, lol. This week's challenge was ANYTHING goes...which made it super easy for me! The Walnut Seam Binding was purchased at the Ribbon Carousel store, and is just YUMMY and gorgeous!!

My card is also for one of today's AWESOME Dare To Get Dirty challenges, being hosted by Iwona(Chupa)....not going to tell you what, when, where or why the challenge is/am/ are, but I will tell you where to look!! For the inside of my card, I used a little more paper, and another sentiment from the set. It's so pretty, I couldn't NOT use it. Again, keeping it simple....but hey, sometimes less is more.

Well, that is it for me for today! Be sure to head to Kim's for a list of designers participating in today's teasers. Thanks for stopping by!

  • The MFT release is on August 2 at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available August 2 at 10 PM EST.

For my card tonight, I started with this week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, to make a tent card. I have NEVER made one of these, so it kinda kicked my butt. Two hours on a card makes me cranky, LOL! I do like what I did, but it was a PROCESS to get here.....let me tell you. I used Basic Grey card stock from SU, and some GORGEOUS Authentique Uncommon paper. I followed the SCS tutorial, found in the resources section, and cut out my base. I used the Simply Scalloped Medium Die-namics to make my scallops inside my window. My image is the GORGEOUS new a la mode Bundle of Baby. I stamped her on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with Copics. I paper pieced her shirt, and the babies blanket, though. She was then cut out. My ribbon is some from Michael's, and I used some glitter dots I got from Gina K. The final step before putting it together was to cut out my sentiment using the Sweet Stack Label Die-namics.

Well, that is it for me for today! Be sure to head to Kim's for a list of designers participating in today's teasers. Thanks for stopping by! Also, be sure to go to the Crazy 4 Challenges blog to check out my AWESOME teammates!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday 28

Happy Friday everyone!! Since it is Friday, at least for a little while longer, lol, it is time for Forgotten Stamp Friday. Sorry I am running so behind today, life....sometimes it doesn't always go the way I plan.

If you aren't familiar with this challenge, it is a personal challenge that I have posed to myself to make me use some of my un-inked, unused, and neglected stamps. The only rule is that it has to have been un-inked or owned for 6 months. Digi images count, as well...we tend to collect those, and then never use them, too! If you decide to play along, just be sure to enter your name in the Mr. Linky, and when uploading to an online gallery, use the keyword..FSF28!!!

For tonight's card, I used a SUPER cute Pure Innocence set, Splish Splash. He was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored with my Copics. I used Blue Raspberry, Orange Fizz, and Fossil card stock. My paper is from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Fly a Kite. My white ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel, and my orange is from Michael's. I also used some Caribbean Twine. The brads I used are from Michael's, and I used SU punches for my sentiment. I also used the Simply Scalloped Medium Die-namics.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and another sentiment from this adorable set.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and I can't wait to see if you play along!

It's Teaser Time!

It is time for this month's My Favorite Things teasers to start, and I am DYING with excitement. I LOVE each release just a little bit more every month, don't you??!! Tonight, we have two gorgeous sets to show you: Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy, and By the Numbers. For my card, I chose to use the Sympathy set....but before we get there, here are some details about this month's goings on!!

Here are the details about the upcoming release on August 2 at 10 PM EST:

  • The MFT release is on August 2 at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available August 2 at 10 PM EST.

  • The guest designer contest is ON! Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.

  • If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to Kim's blog NOW! Be sure to leave comments as you go for a chance to win one of 2 $10 vouchers being given away daily, just for leaving a comment. :) Check Kim's blog every day for the winners.

I started by stamping my sentiment from the Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy set, on a piece of GP White. I then used my Framed Greetings Die-namics to cut it out. I then used the soon to be released, new Fancy Flourish Die-namics to cut out my flourishes in Banana Split(MFT) and Going Gray(SU). My paper is from the Authentique Blissful pad. My ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel. My circle was cut out using the new, soon to be released, Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics. The brads I used are from Michael's. For sympathy cards, I try to keep them pretty simple, but I prefer elegant...so this is where I ended up.

Well, that is it for me for today! I will be back later with this week's Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge.
Be sure to head to Kim's for a list of designers participating in today's teasers. Thanks for stopping by!

Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge!!

Hey everyone, and welcome to our FINAL night of There She Goes Blog Hop Challenges!! Tonight, we have the CUTEST ANIMAL SET EVER!! I mean, seriously, IT'S SO CUUUUUUTE!!!!!(think FLUUUUUFFY, and you will know what I am going for, here, LOL)

Tonight's hop started at the There She Goes Blog, so head on back there to get started. If you are here now, you should have come from Jessica's Blog..she is FABULOSO!!!

Peacocks, and hippos and snakes, oh my! Judy Rozema was our lucky winner from this year’s Mother Of All Blog Hops and one of her prizes was the chance to work with TSG to design a stamp set in a theme of her choice. She said that she would like a fun zoo stamp set that incorporated some animals that are different than you might find in other stamp sets and we knew just who the perfect illustrator would be for this! Melyssa’s adorably whimsical zoo animals will have you going wild!

Zoo-pendous is a 6x8 set that will sell for $24.

Would you like a chance to win the Zoo-pendous stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Zoo-pendous stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday July 30th during the Release Party Chat.

I am not all that thrilled with my card, but I am a procrastinator at heart, and I have worked the last 8 days straight...I'm tired, so bare with me!! I DO love the image, the sentiment, and the colors....just not sure...I think I missed something with this one. I started with a previous Taylored Expressions Sketch. I colored my peacock on X-Press It Blending card with my Copics, and then layered it with Night of Navy, Rich Razzelberry(both SU), and Sour Apple(MFT). My ribbon is SU, and my twine is Lilac from MFT. The brads I used are from Michael's, and the spiral clip is from Creative Express. For my paper, I used My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist, Happy Go Lucky....I swear, I love their paper but HOLY LONG NAME STAMPMAN!!!

Well, that is enough chatter out of me! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Next stop, my ever fabulous, and totally over the top talented SBFF, Jodi Collins!! LOVE HER!!
