à la modes- I Treasure Our Friendship

Today is day two of this month's à la modes reveal from My Favorite Things, and this month's sets are SO DANG CUTE! Did you hear the good news???

In the past, we've released our à la modes images in cling rubber, however, this month, we're releasing both of our à la modes in clear photo polymer, just like the rest of our stamps. This means that we can bring them to you at a slightly lower price point than usual - $9.00 each! How fabulous is that?! Since our clear stamps are made in the USA, they are of the highest quality, so you'll have the same great image quality that you're accustomed to with any of our other clear stamps! Sweet deal right?

For my card tonight, I stamped my image on a piece of X-Press It Blending Card. I then colored her with my Copics, and layered her with More Mustard, Night of Navy, and Hot Fudge. I used the MME Stella and Rose Hattie collection. My brads are from Michael's, and my twine is from the MFT store. I hand made my sentiment panel.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a full list of designers participating in today's peeks!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Chocolate and Forgotten Stamps Friday

Hey everyone, and happy Saturday! I am running a bit behind on my Crazy 4 Challenges post, but I am here now....and it's a YUMMY one this week!! Joanne Grzelak who is our challenge hostess this month has another amazing challenge for us all ......

Tomorrow, May 15 is National Chocolate Chip Day!!! Have some image related to ‘chocolate’ on your card/project today. (Eating a chocolate chip cookie during the creative process is optional –but who could pass up a reason to eat a chocolate chip cookie or two??!!!)

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C87. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

It is also time for a Forgotten Stamp Friday post!! Blogger wasn't working, so I decided to go ahead and post it today! Not familiar with this challenge...well, you should be!! Every week(except last week where I TOTALLY flaked, sorry!!!), I challenge myself, and all of you, to make a card using your poor, lonely, dusty, unused, forgotten stamps. I feel guilty with the sheer VOLUME of stamps that I own in comparison to what I ACTUALLY use, so this challenge is one that helps me to ease my guilt a little. There are NO rules, just that you
a)PLAY ALONG
b) use a stamp that is either unused or owned and un-inked for 6 months
c) come back and add yourself to the linky thingy so I can see what you've done
d) be sure if you upload to SCS, that you use the keyword FSF22...that way I can find you!!

For my card today, I decided to go with a YUMMY chocolate cupcake! My image is the à la modes- Birthday Girl. I stamped her on a piece of X-Press It Blending card, and then colored parts of her with my Copics. The rest was paper pieced with some MME Stella&Rose Gertie paper. I then layered her with Taken With Teal, Rose Red(both SU) and Hot Fudge(MFT). My ribbon is from MFT, and my brads are from Michael's. I used the Open Scalloped Doily Die-namics, as well.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check out the other Crazy Girls for some inspiration, if you want to play along with Forgotten Stamp Friday, Be sure to add your name to the linky thing!!

The Light's On...

Hey everyone!! Today I have a card for you that combines this week's There She Goes challenge with this week's Mojo Monday sketch. Here are some details on the TSG challenge!

Everybody needs some inspiration every now and then, and this week Christine has a row of beautiful doors that will do just that! Create a card using the colors in the inspirational piece, the funky lines of the piece, or one certain item showcased in the piece. Let your imagination go wild!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card inspired by the picture (please tell us how in your post), and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday. The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG106 so we can check out your beautiful work!

As I said above, I started with this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I stamped my lamp shade, and base, from the new Lighten Up set, on an X-Press It blending card, and then colored it with my Copics. I layered my image with Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango. My paper is from an old SU pack, and I used SU ribbon. My brads are from Michael's, and my spiral clip is from Creative Express.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by!

RCC2 and May's Creative Challenge!!

Hey everyone and welcome to this month's Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things, as well as my FIRST EVER post as part of the new Ribbon Carousel Challenge Crew!! I am THRILLED to be a part of my dear, sweet, whip cracking friend- Corinna's, new team, and wish her all the success in the world for her new venture!!

This month's creative challenge from My Favorite Things is to make a Monochromatic Colored card....YIKES!! I was SO scared, as were a LOT of my design teammates, but seriously, this technique is SUPER easy and STUNNING...if you ask me!!

As for the Ribbon Carousel challenge, here are all the details!!

This week we’re talking shabby... vintage... shabby chic!!!

How are you going to get chic? With lace, ribbon, crochet, seam binding of course!!! Pull out those pretties that we all have (and I’m sure hoard) and use them on your card, scrapbook page, 3D project....any creation will do! Add some texture to your creation, perhaps with distressing, using your embossing folders, sponging. Make that lace pop!!
*** Please remember that your creation must have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, seam binding (basically anything that comes on a spool).***

For my card today, I started by stamping my Flappers Hold Me Tight image on a piece of X-Press It Blending card. I then colored my image using only my W1, W3, W5, and W7 Copics. Seriously, isn't that the coolest thing EVER??!! I then layered them with Black Licorice. My DP is from the Lilybee Designs This&That pack. I used my new Decorative Doily Duo for my layers under the image, and then used the Perfect Petal Trio Die-namics for my flowers. I rolled them up in my hand, and then added a filigree flower brad to the center of them. My ribbons are from May Arts and from MFT.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, another sentiment from the set, and I stamped the image as well. For my scalloped layer, I used the Dizzy Border Die-namics.

Well, that is it for me for now!! To see a list of other designer's playing along in this month's creative challenge, be sure to head on over to Kim's blog.

For more details, and to see other samples from my Crew Mates, and to play along, head on over to the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog!!
