SFYTT Sunday

It is a rainy Sunday here in Southern Illinois, so forgive me for the crappy lighting on my card. It doesn't help that one of the light bulbs in the hall outside my stamp room went out today....you wouldn't think it would affect it, but it sure did!! I decided to take the day off from work today due to the recent loss of my Grandma. She was ill for quite some time, and had been fighting up until recently when she decided to no longer fight. It has been a roller coaster, needless to say, but I am happy that she is no longer suffering. With all that in mind, I decided to take the day and have a little stamping therapy session. So far, so good. I won't say that I have been as productive as I would have liked, but one card done is good enough for me.

I made this card using this weekend's Sketch For You To Try. I started by stamping my chicks from the My Favorite Things, What's Crackin'? set on an MFT Perfect Panel. I actually stamped the girl chick directly on the panel, and stamped the boy on another. I masked his body to add the legs and after coloring them both, I added the boy on. My image was cut out using my Circle Nestabilities, and layered with Sour Apple, Cotton Candy, and Banana Split.....yummy. My DP is from the Spring paper pack from MFT, my buttons are from the Spring collection, and my ribbon is from the Perfect Plaid collection. My brads came from Michael's and my spiral clips are from Amazon. The sentiment I used is actually from another MFT set. It is from the Pure Innocence, My Basket of Eggs set.

For the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the set, added more DP and brads, and it was done!!
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Clean Sketch

Well kids, it's time for another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, and I am LOVING this week's challenge....it's a sketch after all!! This week's challenge(C4C30) was posed by Barbara, and it is so clean and simple....well, it should have been. I am proud, I didn't veer too far off the challenge, but I just can't do clean and simple...it hurts too much, lol!!

For my card today, I started by stamping my Pure Innocence - Boy & Dog - Doge Gone Cute image on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored it with Copics, and layered it with Bashful Blue. I added my SU ribbons, and Michael's brads...as well as some piercing to those layers. I then used my SU punches to create my circle panel. My dog(both inside and out)'s were colored with Copics as well, then cut out.

For the inside, I used more of the card stock and ribbon, and my second dog. The base of my card is Sour Apple green, from MFT as well.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Be sure to check out what all the other Crazies have done for this challenge!!

I am LOVING the new sets being released by There She Goes on Saturday, so I couldn't resist showing ONE MORE card using the FABULOUS new set, Chem. 101. This set was designed to go along with the previously released Chemistry set.

Today, I started with this week's Mojo Monday sketch. My bottles were stamped, colored and cut out, then attached to Gina K. White panels layered with Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, and Black(MFT). I used Copics to color my images. My sentiment came from the new set....LOVE IT!! I am a total geek, so this set SPEAKS to me!! My DP is from the SU Rockabilly pack, and my ribbons are all SU as well. Brads are from Michael's and my spiral clip came from Amazon.
Well, that is it for me now!! Don't forget, there is still time to go around and comment on all the Trendsetters peek posts from the past three days....FREE STAMPS ladies(and gentlemen)!!!

For today, I have a card made using the Let's Get Together set. It is one of my favorite There She Goes sets, mainly because I LOVE coffee!! I stamped my cup on a Cream MFT Perfect Panel and colored it in with Copics. I then stamped the coffee collar on a piece of Granola DP from Basic Grey and then paper pieced it on. The image was then cut out and placed on a piece of Vanilla cardstock layered with Bordering Blue, Fossil and Hot Fudge Card stock(the last two from MFT). I ran my Bordering Blue layer through my Cuttlebug with my Spots and Dots embossing folder. My sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and then punched out and layered using SU punches. All my ribbons are from SU, and my brads are from Michael's.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Spring

Well, I don't know about the weather where you are, but today was GORGEOUS here!! Spring is definitely here and I am THRILLED. Since it is Saturday-ish, it is time for another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge. Today's challenge was to make a Spring-y card.

I LOVE the Spring paper pack from My Favorite Things, so I decided to use it for my card today. I started by stamping my Jolinne-Best Friends Always image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it with my Copics. I then layered it with Gumdrop Green, Bubblegum Pink, and So Saffron CS. My brads are from SU, as well as my ribbons. My spiral clip came from Michael's. I used SU punches for my sentiment. I haven't used this layout for awhile, so I thought it was time!!
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Don't forget to check out what the other Crazies have come up with for today's challenge!! Enjoy!!

Mercy's Sketch 65

Happy Thursday!! I had some time to stamp before work, so I decided to play along with Mercy's sketch for this week. I love her and her sketches, and this week's is FABULOUS!!

I started by stamping my chick image from the MFT What's Crackin'? set on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored the chick with Copics, and paper pieced the shell with some Georgia Peach DSP. I then layered it, using my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities, with Saffron, Rose, and Olive cardstock. My ribbons are all from SU, and my brads were purchased at Michael's. My sentiment is from the Pure Innocence set-My Basket of Eggs.
Well, that is it for me now!! Today, at least for this week, is my Friday, so WAHOOO!! I can't wait....two days off in a row, yayyy!! The next few weeks are going to be a bear, so trust me this weekend is welcomed and needed. My boyfriend and I have plans, and at the encouragement of my sweet and sassy friend, Jennifer Greco, he is going to make a card......stay tuned, LOL!!
