These Boots Were Made For Splashing!!

Hey everyone, hope you are having a FABULOUS day!! I am in a huge hurry since I couldn't get into my blog since last night for some reason, so I am going to make this a super short post and maybe edit it tonight!! Today I have a MFTeaser of the new Rainy Day Friend set from My Favorite Things!! It will be released at 12EST on Wednesday, June 17th along with my new FAVORITE Flopsey!! Tonight at 10pmEST, we will be having our midmonth blog hop, so you won't want to miss out on all that fun either!!

My card today was made using Taylor's Cupcake Sketch from this past weekend. I also think it was her birthday, same day as Jared's in fact, so Happy Birthday Taylor!! I stamped my main image and umbrella on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored it in with my Copics. The umbrella was cut out seperately, I even paper pieced the top and added some highlights with my Copics. The DP is from the Pink Pirouette DSP and the Bella Rose pack. My buttons are all from SU, and so are my ribbons. I did a ton of piercing, and added my sentiment to the bottom, which deviated from the sketch, but only a little. Well, that post wasn't short, lol!! I better get to work, I am subbing at the Post Office this whole week and am already having Jared withdrawals!! WAHHH!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! See you back here tonight for the hop!!

Little Paper Shop- Garden Gate

I am back to preview another set from The Little Paper Shop, and this time, we have an exciting challenge to go along with it!

Introducing: {Garden Gate}! This set is so cute, it even inspired me to do a one layer card...seriously!! This set is like nothing LPS has done before and is SUPER fun to color and embellish. The sentiments are perfect for all occasion so we know you will be getting plenty of use out of this brand new set!
What's more? For one week only, beginning with Tuesday's release, BOTH new releases are on sale for 10% off at The Little Paper Shop! (while supplies last)
Be sure to head over to the LPS Blog today to see what the DT has created for this challenge. It's also LPS Monday, and the 15th of the month (the day of our monthly DT challenge), which means we have QUITE the awesome challenge for you, and not only one, but TWO ways to WIN this set!
You can participate in our DT challenge, issued this month by the FABULOUS Jen, and also leave a comment to be randomly selected, so we'll meet you over at the LPS blog right now for all the fun!
As I said before, I was inspired to do a one layer card. I used Gina K. White(120lb), and stamped my image and sentiment directly on them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored it in with my Copics, and added some Flower Soft to the flowers. My ribbon is from MFT. I added score lines at the bottom with my ScorPal. Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Little Paper Shop- Katie Cupcake!!

It's that time again at The Little Paper Shop! We are so excited to be releasing two super-cute sets this month! Both sets will be released THIS Tuesday, June 16th and will be on sale for 10% off beginning on release day. This sale will last one week or while supplies last, so be sure to grab your new stamps while they're HOT!

Our first preview is one "sweet" set, {Katie Cupcake}. For my card today, I decided to play in the Featured Stamper challenge over at SCS. Today's FS is Sumtoy, so I chose this card of her's to CASE. I changed the colors, image, and the way she did the background. I also added ribbon, piercing, and brads. My images was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on an MFT perfect panel and then colored with my Copics. I then added glitter(from MFT), to the cupcake top!! My DP is from the Summer Picnic DSP pack, and my cardstock is all SU(Real Red, Old Olive, and Bashful Blue). The white is from Gina K.

Be sure to head on over to the LPS Blog to see the other DT members adorable previews and also to join us in welcoming TWO new DT members! We are thrilled to announce that Heather Lee-Reppen and Janna Hull have accepted the invitation to our Design Team and can't wait to "Wow" you with all that they do!

Last but not least, want to WIN this set? All you have to do is leave a comment over on the LPS blog and one lucky winner will be chosen via Random.org...good luck and have a "Sweet" Day!

Prettie Friday...and Jared's Birthday!!

Today is my day to post a Paper Pretties card. Since you know I love a good sketch challenge, I decided to do this weeks Prettie weekly challenge sketch. This weeks challenge can be found at the Paper Pretties Forum or click here. I decided to use my Liberty Sophia. I colored her in using my Copic markers, and then layered her with Bashful Blue and Real Red. I decided to use some Summer Picnic...I thought the Apples were kinda symbolic, kwim? My ribbons are both from SU, and the brads and clips are from Creative Express. The scallops at the bottom were done with my SU scalloped edge punch, and then I used a hole punch to make the holes. I used SU punches for the sentiment panel and did a ton of piercing!! If you are interested in playing along, be sure to check out the thread for more details.

For those of you that come here for Jared updates, today is his first birthday!! I cannot believe it!! It really feels like only yesterday that he made his entrance into the world and I thank God everyday for blessing us with him. I know I am a TAD attached to him, since I see him a TON, but seriously...I think I love him more than my stamps, lol!! This was a picture of him last night taking a bath before bedtime. I was playing with his hair while his mom took pictures...too funny!! I used to do this, and still do, with my nieces, but their hair is pretty long so you can't get a full on mohawk...hehe. He has his one year check up today, so we will try to get a full length picture of him while we are there...I can't wait to see how much he has grown!!

That is it for me today, thanks and have a great one!!

My Favorite Challenge Thursday!!

So, as I said last week, they have changed the way we are doing our challenges over at the My Favorite Things Member Forum. We are now combining all of our weekly challenges into one main thread..so every Thursday you can go to that week's Challenge and Chatter Thread to see this week's My Favorite Challenge, as well as, this week's My Favorite Sketch Challenge. Here are the details again, just in case!!
*A new My Favorite Challenge and Chatter thread is started every Thursday
*Complete the My Favorite Challenge by Wednesday at 10:00 AM
*ONE winner will be awarded $10 in MFT Money each week (not good on bubble bin sets)
*This will NOT be a random draw
*The winner will be chosen by Joanne, Christina OR the guest judge of their choice
*The winner for the week will be posted after the challenge is posted the following Thursday

Ready to play? This week, your My Favorite Challenge is to make a tri-fold card. A tri-fold card is one that opens from two sides to reveal the inside of the card. Here are a few types of trifold cards from the
SCS Resources Library:
IMPORTANT: Please do NOT "double dip" for the MFT challenges. Since the My Favorite Challenge and the MFT Sketch Challenge have prize winners, Here is the general rule of thumb:If you can win something tangible, then your entry needs to be ONLY for that challenge. So, if you want to participate in the SCS color challenge and then use the MFT sketch? That is totally fine, since you can only win something for the MFT sketch. If you do the My Favorite Challenge, it can't be combined with the MFT sketch challenge or the One Click Challenge since they all have a prize.
Your keyword for this week is: MFTMFC3
Your deadline is Wednesday, June 17 at 10:00 AM EST
Winner will be announced on June 18th

Now, after you read through those rules, and you see my card, you are gonna laugh...cause I totally double dipped, lol!! I was just chugging right along making this card for my nephew's birthday and when it was done I thought....well POOP!! SINCE I am not eligible to win anyway, I don't think it is that big a deal, but if you want to play in the sketch, this week's is posted here(third post down, be sure to use the keyword MFTSC85), as well as the weekly challenge you HAVE to have two cards. Oh well, I tried right!!

For my card I used my Ben Paper Dolls set. I needed a card for my nephews birthday, which is tomorrow...can you BELIEVE IT?? He is a year old and is changing a little more everyday...he is such a wonder to me. I promise to have a picture soon! Poor kid has a runny nose today and is very sneezy...darn weather! Anywho, I decided to use the Superman costume out of the set, and what superhero would be complete without his trusty sidekick!! Both images were stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored with Copics. I actually colored the outfit separately and cut it out so I wouldn't have to mask...I really hate masking. I then pierced a border around the edge and layered it with Pacific Point and Riding Hood Red. The DP is from the Riding Hood Red Patterns pack, and the ribbon is also from SU. The brads are from Creative Express. I used the Boy sentiment from my Cuddle Up Carter set, and the Birthday from The Poppies, but I had to mask out the 's.

Prettie Wednesday-3x3 with Buttons

Two weeks ago, Christi challenged the Prettie Girls to make a 3x3 card, but we also had to use buttons. I wanted to use this SUPER cute Make A Splash Sophia stamp from Paper Pretties. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored it in with my Copic markers. I then cut and embossed the image and the Kiwi Kiss layer with my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. My ribbon and buttons are from SU. The card base is Riding Hood Red. Sorry for the short post. My Mom bought my nieces a playground and my Dad and I, along with their father, spent 8hrs putting it together on Sunday. My sunscreen wore off at some point during the day, and I have a WICKED sunburn. It seriously hurts to turn my head...so sad!! I am usually pretty smart about that kind of stuff, but I was so into helping with the GINORMOUS playground, that I forgot to reapply. I am definitely paying for it now!!
Be sure to check out what the other Pretties have created for this challenge!! Thanks and have a great day!

Picnics are a Moveable Feast

Hey everyone, Happy Tuesday!! Today I have another My Favorite Things card that I made for the release for you to see!! I used a Mojo Monday sketch from a few weeks ago and the new Let's Picnic set. I am LOVING this new set, and the DT has TOTALLY rocked all the samples for this release. I am DYING to make something else with my new favorite, The Poppies!
Anywho, I decided to use the Mojo sketch from a few weeks ago, so I knew I needed a circular image. I stamped the picnic basket and grapes directly on my MFT Perfect Panel. I then stamped the wine bottle and bread separately. All the images were colored with my Copics, and then the bread and wine were but out and added to the panel. The main circle and the Chocolate Chip layer were cut out using my Circle Nestabilities. I used some Nana's Nursery DP from DCWV and some Hawaiian Papaya DSP from SU. for the background. The other colors on this are Lavender Lace and Cool Caribbean. The Chocolate Chip ribbon is from SU, and the Lavender organdy is also from SU but is retired. I got the pearls in the mail from my friend Kathy(Wattle), thanks girl!! They are by Kaiser and are chocolate. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom, although it is a little hard to see in this picture. It says, Picnics are a Movable Feast.
Well, that is it for me today, be sure to head over to the MFT member forum to see what all is going on in the MFT world and to participate in our weekly challenges...there is still a little time! While you are at it, have you checked out the AMAZING sets in the Bubble Bin this week? Don't know what the bubble bin is yet, well it is a special section the MFT website where Kim will have some AMAZING sets on sell for one week only!! Some will retire, some will go back to regular price...but no matter what, you can't beat the prices!! Check it out here!!
Thanks and have a great day!!

Little Paper Shop Mondays

Since it is Mondays, it is time for another Little Paper Shop Blog challenge. Today's challenge is a color challenge to use Ruby Red, Bashful Blue, and Cameo Coral. Wanna play along? Just make a card using this week's color combo and upload it using the keyword LPSC19. The winner of the challenge will get 2 free digital images!!
I didn't get a chance to make a card for this challenge, but I do have some Little Paper Shop goodness to show you. I made this card as one of my samples for the release, but I never got to show it. It was made using the new Sugar set. I paired it with Some DP from the Nana's Nursery Baby Girl line. I used SU Certainly Celery and Pretty In Pink Cardstock. The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copics. I then added glitter with a two way glue pen. The ribbons are all from SU, and the brads and clips are from Creative Express.
Well, that is it for me now, thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Wiggle Wiggle!!

Isn't this new Sophia from Paper Pretties ADORABLE!! Not only is she SUPAH cute, but this sentiment...You Put The Wiggle In My Hips.... ACKKK, TOO CUTE!! Aloha Sophia is our newest Stamp of the Month. Wanna know what the Stamp of the Month Club is? Basically, it is a hassle free subscription that will have one Sophia arriving in your mailbox a month!! Sounds good to me!!
My card today is one that I made for the Stamping In Your Jammies party challenge, to use a baby wipe technique. I used the striped wipe technique that was shown on SCS a while back. Basically, you take a baby wip and fold it to where you have a pretty thick edge(you want the edge that is not the ends of the sheet, kwim?) Then you take whatever colors of reinkers you want to use and put drops of them in the order you want on the crease. You then wipe them across glossy paper until they are blended. You have to let it dry for a bit, but I think it is so cool..especially for those of us that are brayer challenged. For my card, I wanted to create the illusion of a sunset over water...how'd I do?? I used Marigold Morning, then Barely Banana, Bashful Blue and then Pacific Point reinkers. My Sophia was then colored to match with my Copic markers. The DSP is from the Pink Flamingo pack, and although I know it is supposed to match Summer Sun, I really think it matches Marigold Morning(a retired In Color) PERFECT. Boy I am really missing my In Colors from the past here lately. If I don't watch it, I will run out!! YIKES(seriously though, I stocked up like it was Y2K, no worries yet)!! My ribbons and brads are from SU, and the sentiment was punched out using SU Oval Punches. My nephew was desperately trying to help me with this card, so we are lucky it turned out this well. As I am typing up this post(on Sunday evening-WOOT for being ahead!!), he is sleeping in my bed at home. I decided to let him spend the night with me so he could spend time with his Grandpa, and I honestly don't know who was more thrilled. TOO CUTE!! A good Aunt would have taken pictures of this first sleepover at Grandpa's...but alas, I did not...maybe I will in the morning...To Be Continued!!
That is it for me now, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Take Time For You

Can you tell that I love this layout?? I feel like I have used it a hundred times, but I still love it-especially for small images. My card today is from the There She Goes release from this past weekend. I am LOVING all the new sets and what the girls have done with them, how about you? I decided to use the new Rejuvenate set, cause I love it. It has lots of cutesy small images, which are perfect for my favorite layout. I stamped all three images on Gina K. White paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored them in with my Copics. They were then punched out using my SU square punch(1 1/4). The scalloped Old Olive squares are also from an SU punch. My colors on this card are Regal Rose, So Saffron, and Old Olive. The DP is from the SU Georgia Peach pack. My Ribbons are both from SU as well as the brads.
Well, that is it for me for now, thanks for stopping by!!
