I took that opportunity to make a card for today's Featured Stamper challenge. I chose a fairly simple one, cause I really don't have a ton of energy. This weeks FS is Judy(stampingqueenjar). She is so talented and such a sweetheart! I chose this card of hers to CASE. I changed the colors-went with Basic Black instead of Chocolate Chip, the embellishments, added a layer, added DP, and did piercing not stitching. The images are from Pocket Silhouettes. All accessories and supplies are from SU. Well, that is all the energy I have, off to the couch to whine!!LOL!!

Boy Oh Boy..
I swear, I haven't felt this bad in years, seriously!! I should be sleeping, but that is all I have done since yesterday morning, and I am now wide awake and bored out of my mind.

Flowers Of Happiness...
This has to be one of my FAVORITE There She Goes sets, seriously!! It is called Flowers of Happiness, and it is awesome!! (I just went to the site and saw that it was out of stock right now, but it should be in on the 13th, so never fear!!) I love the gorgeous flowers in the set, and the sentiments are PERFECT!!
When I saw today's Inspiration Challenge, I immediately thought of this stamp set. I wanted something in a simple color scheme, so I chose this dress, but decided to pick one color from it and run!! I decided to go with a Basic Black, Gina K. White and Rose Red. I used some Rose Red DP too. The small flowers were stamped twice, once on the 1 1/8ths inch square attached to the card, and again on another sheet of paper. I cut out the flowers, attached them with a brad from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts. The other flowers are actually the center of a bigger flower, I stamped those, cute them out, added a brad from PHPC, and then popped them up. All the images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with my Copics(R59 and R85). I believe the ribbon I used(the B&W) is from May Arts and the Rose Red is from SU. I punched my sentiment out with my middle sized oval punch and then layered it with the large oval punch. The sketch for this card is Taylor's Cupcake Sketch for this week. That is it for me now, thanks for looking!!

Hippity Hoppity..
Easter really is on it's way, and I have barely made a dent in my Easter cards for this year...gonna have to get it in gear, huh!! I am still super sick, so I am gonna keep this short!
I made this card for the last Paper Pretties release party. It was part of a challenge that Charmaine gave us, to make a card that was inspired by a cartoon character. I chose to use Winnie the Pooh as my inspiration. My Bunny Hop Sophia image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on Gina K. White and then colored with my copics. I then layered it with Riding Hood Red and So Saffron. The DP is from the Washington Apple DSP from SU, as are all the embellishments(except my pesky spiral clip). The sentiment was cut out with my Round Tab punch from SU, as well as it's layer. The buttons are part of the Bouquet and Latte buttons, and all have white taffeta tied through them.

Ready, Set, Go!!!!
Today's Limited Supplies challenge was a super fast one, so I decided to play...now I am beat and I don't want to upload...nice. I am forcing myself to though, and then, I believe I will take the longest nap EVER!!
The challenge was to make a card in 30mins. or less, mine only took 19mins. from start to finish...woohoo!! To top that off, it is an SU only card, woot!! Incase you are wondering, I have felt bad for a long time about not using my SU stuff as much as I should. I am FIERCELY loyal to their ribbon, card stock, embellishments, and inks, but I know I neglect their stamps. I am trying to do an SUO card at least two or three days a week...often times it has been more, but that is my goal. Unfortunately, I slip a lot of the time and add something that isn't SU, or use my Nesties. I just wish SU would get it over with and carry them, oh what a happy girl I would be!! Anywho, I started with Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I used my new favorite DSP(ya, I know I say that a lot, and tomorrow I will have a new one, but for today, FAVORITE), Parisian Breeze. I paired it with my Friends 24/7 set. The bird was stamped in Chocolate Chip, as was the sentiment, and then I used an aquapainter and my Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze ink pads to highlight it. The ribbons are from the Valet Ribbon originals, and the brads are from SU as well. I did a slight amount of sponging and it was done.

Snail Mail
The stupid chest cold that has been running rampant around here has finally found it's way to me, so if any of this seems incoherent, blame the meds, LOL. I am super tired, but I wanted to post something today, so I am gonna try to make this pretty quick.
I am in LOVE with these super cute snails from the new Slow and Steady set from There She Goes. It is just the CUTEST!!
When I saw that today's Ways to Use it challenge was to make an ATC, I kinda grumbled, because I really don't like them. Not that they aren't gorgeous, but it isn't a whole lotta room to work with, and I have next to no use for them. So I decided that I would make the ATC, but then show it as a card too, that way I can still use it. I stamped the snail twice on Gina K. White 120lb paper and then colored it with my Copics. The second shell was cut out and popped up. I then stamped two dragonflies, colored them, and cut them out. I layered the main image with Regal Rose and Pumpkin pie. I then added a larger piece of Chocolate Chip behind it, and added some silver brads down the side. The ribbon tabs were then added, along with my sentiment. All the punches used were from SU, as well as the ribbon and brads.

To add the ATC to a card, I used a Chocolate Chip base, then layered Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose. The DP is from the Sweet Always pack. The scalloped border was cut with my SU punch. Isn't it cute??? Not bad for someone who is hopped up on cold medicine, LOL!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!Wednesday, March 4, 2009
Prettie Wednesday- Quilting
So, two weeks ago, miss Jackie challenged my fellow Prettie girls to make a card with quilting on it. I love the way that looks, so I was SUPER excited to get started. I used the Sellabration DSP- Delicate Dots, and punched out 9 squares with my 1 1/4in square punch from SU. I then layered them out on a piece of white cardstock and pierced a border around all of them. The main image is from the newly released, Love You This Much set from Paper Pretties
. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Gina K. 120lb White. I then colored him with my Copics and layered him with Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. The sentiment was made using all SU punches, and the embellishments are all from SU except the little white brads and the spiral clip. I know all that ribbon makes this less of a boyish card and a little too frilly, but I can't help myself, I just LOVE my ribbon!!

Well, that is it for me now, be sure to blurf around and see what my other Pretties have been up to!! And don't forget to check out the Paper Clip this week for all the happenings in the Prettie World!! Also, if you want to play along, just make a card using some form of Quilting, and then leave a link on one of the Prettie Girl's posts so that we can all check it out!!
Thanks and have a great day!

If you are just now joining the hop, you need to head on over to Kim's blog and start there!! Now, if you are BACK, you should have come from Paula's fabulous blog.....lucky me. I am SUPER excited to be sandwiched in between two of the most TALENTED MFT designers EVA!! Okay, now on to my cards!! I actually made two cards to show you today..can you tell I was feeling the pressure, LOL....seriously. My first card was made using the Nite Nite Ellie set. It was drawn by the supah talented Stephanie Fizer. It was based on an idea by Jen del Muro. The main character is based on her adorable daughter, and is a charity set. $2 from each set sold in the first six months of it's release will be sent to St. Jude's. LOVE that!! Anywho, I used Taylor's Cupcake Sketch from this weekend for my card. The DP is from the Sweet Always DSP. I colored Ellie with my Copics after paper piecing her PJ's. Her bunny slippers are also popped up to give them some more dimension. All the embellishments are from SU, except for the spiral clips. The scallops were made with my SU scalloped edge punch.

Here For You
I found myself in need of a few sympathy cards, so I decided to use the SCS sketch to make the first one. I KINDA screwed up the sketch, but I think the general idea is there!! My image panel is just a little too low, but oh well!!
I stamped my image from Central Park on Kraft with Basic Black ink, and then layered it with Whisper White and Basic Black. I added a piece of Kraft Taffeta and Black Gingham around it too. The DP's are from the Urban Oasis and Kraft DSP packs. I used some more of my yummy Corduroy button brads too...I just LOVE those things!! My sentiment, which is actually why I screwed up my sketch, is from the Friends 24-7 stamp set. It is perfect for an elegant sympathy card. Well, that is it for me now, I think 3 posts in one day is pushing your patience a tad, LOL!! Thanks and have a great day!!

Hooga Booga!!
Here we are at day TWO of my MFT peeks, and let me tell you, I am in LOVE with these new stamp sets. They are AWESOME!! Lets get done with the important business first, and then we will look at my SUPAH cute new card!!
Okay, now that the official business is taken care of, here is my first card using Hooga Booga. I think this set MIGHT be my new favorite from Stephanie Fizer, but seriously, who can choose?? These little monsters are TOOO CUTE for words and I just want to hug them, lol!! I stamped my little guy on Gina K. White and some K&Co. Hopscotch DP. The monster was paper pieced and then the rest was colored with my Copics and SU markers. The face was stamped separately and popped up to give it some more dimension. I then layered it with Pumpkin Pie and Ballet Blue. The embellishments are all from SU, except for the spiral clips.
Well, that is it for me now...gotta get to my sister's to watch my nephew again. He is pretty sick and we are trying to keep him out of the cold as much as possible!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
