Dollar Find Friday!!

Today is my last day as the spotlighted Trendsetter over on the There She Goes blog and to end my week of FUN, I am hosting today's Dollar Find Friday post!! For today, I really went pretty simple...but if you haven't noticed, I'm not much of an altered item girl!! Due to my new financial situation, I have decided that making gifts for holidays and birthdays is going to be the most cost effective thing for me, so with that in mind I decided to alter a composition notebook for my niece Taylor. I already have Madison's done, and now Taylor's.....two down, a TON to go!!

Anywho, you can purchase the composition notebooks at the Dollar Store for a dollar..nice huh! I used Rich Razzleberry paper and cut out a pieced to cover the spine, and some Razzleberry Lemonade DSP to cover the front and back covers. To get an accurate size, I usually trace around the notebook and then cut it out...for some reason my ruler and I do NOT get along!! I added some Rich Razzleberry ribbon along with some white satin from May Arts. The glitter dots are from Gina K. Designs. For my image, I stamped my fairy from the There She Goes set, Fairy Good Day, on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored it in with my Copics. I then layered it with RR and Gina K. White. I added some Sakura glitter pen to the flowers, star, tights, and her belt to make it sparkly. Taylor's name was stamped with RR ink using the TSG A-Z and 1,2,3 set.

That is it for me now, thanks for stopping by!!

  4. Oooo! How pretty, Jess! This is such a great gift idea for young girls. I recently did one for my niece, and it was a first for me! I just shipped it out to her a few days ago, so I hope she likes it.
