Oh Boy....

This card KICKED MY BUTT!! Seriously, I am still not happy with it, and I am posting it anyway because when you spend THREE HOURS working on a CASE, people need to see why!!LOL!!
This is my card for this week's Featured Stamper challenge. This week's Featured Stamper is Darlene(akronstamperdpk). She has a fun filled gallery, and I chose this card to CASE. For my card, I used the new My Favorite Things set, Plant a Seed of Love. I started by stamping my image on an MFT Perfect Panel, then I colored it in with my Copics.
The cardstock colors are Rich Razzleberry, Kiwi Kiss, and Creamy Carmel. I used some retired SU DSP, but the name escapes me...sorry. My ribbon is from SU, as well as the brads, but the spiral clips are not. I messed up my sentiment, so I punched one out with my scalloped oval and put it over it...yep, I hate it but it is what it is!!
So it isn't the worst thing I have ever made, but it CERTAINLY is not what I expected and DOES NOT do this gorgeous new image justice!!

Before I went into my migraine funk, I made a card for last week's Featured Stamper challenge. Last week's Featured Stamper was my fellow Trend Setter, Joanne(jojot).
I chose this card of hers. For my bee's, I used the Whipper Snapper set, Little Critters. The DP is from the Imaginisce Twitterpated line. I used my SU Oval punch for the main images which were colored with my Copics. The border punch is from SU, and I added some silver brads along the edge. The colors are So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Real Red. The ribbons are from SU, and the spiral clips are from Joanne's. I added some glitter with my Sakura Stardust glitter pen to their wings.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

  7. i have an idea....i was looking at your other cards, and i have an idea. i think the two bows are competing with each other. i would take the left bow off, and perhaps leave the clip in place. look at the bee card...one bow and metal brads. maybe there is a formula? one bow (large single item) as a focal point, and other (small) embellishments for balance. how you place the items will show your personal style.

I hate when I work so hard on a card and assemble ALL my layers and mess up the sentiment at the last minute! ugh but seriously, it's great! I love the bees card, it's SO cheerful! hope you're better now (no more migraine)

  10. Oh I know how you feel....I spent an entire night at Jodi's house coloring an image only to come home and throw it away and start over again (twice) but I think your two cards are amazing. Like all of your work!!!!
