CASEing Mary Jo Albright

This weeks featured stamper over on SCS is Mary Jo Albright, she has a fabulous gallery, you should check it out!! She had such a wonderful gallery to pick from, I may have to do two. I have a bridal shower tomorrow for my husband's cousin, so I won't have a lot of time to stamp, so that's my excuse for being up late tonight(as if I needed one!!) You know I couldn't not do an Easter card, and I keep seeing all of these cute cards with Anna Wight's bunny from her Whipper Snapper set Spring Has Sprung, so I knew I wanted to use it. As soon as I saw this card in her gallery, I knew I wanted to CASE it. I actually did a card for the same sketch challenge for My Favorite Things, and loved the layout. I can officially say that mine is not nearly as cute as hers, but I love it!! It is a 5 1/4sq card(my new fave) and it has a Chocolate Chip base. Both of the DP's on here are from the Basic Grey Two Scoops collection. I am totally in love with this line and am going to have to order some more of it at the rate I am going!! The bunny was stamped on watercolor paper from SU along with the grass and the tulip. I colored it all in with my SU markers and used my Aquapainter to blend it all. The scalloped layers as well as the bunny were all cut out using my nestabilities. I used Rose Red, Wild Wasabi and Chocolate Chip. Isn't this color combo yummy!! I used the photo corners punch to do both the CC and the RR corners. The CC are the large corner and the RR are the small. I put 3 brads in each one from the SU vintage brads. The sentiment was punched out with the small oval punch and then I hand cut out the RR and WW layers. The CC was punched out with the large oval punch. I put the ribbon on behind it, because what would a card from me be if it didn't have ribbon on it somewhere. I sponged the edges on a lot of it with CC to soften the edges. Well, that is all for tonight. I won't bore you with any long stories, I am to tired. But tomorrow after a fun filled evening with my inlaws, I am sure I will have something to say!!!
