Little Paper Shop challenges...

While I had all the stuff out working on my Featured Stamper card, I decided to finally play in last week's Little Paper Shop challenge. It was a sketch challenge, which you know I love! Coincidentally, I saw that this week's challenge is to make a card using your favorite color combo...and anything that has purple in it is my favorite combo, so I think this works!!
For my card today, I used the super cute new Beary Special Katie. I think she is adorable!! I paper pieced her dress with some Cottage Wall DSP, and then colored the rest of her with Copics. She was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel though first. The base is more of the Cottage Wall DSP, which was paired with Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, and Old Olive. I used SU punches to do my sentiment panel, and the ribbon and brads are from SU as well.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Little Paper Shop Monday Challenge

I was looking in my Google reader at the HUNDREDS of posts that I haven't had a chance to look at, much less comment on, and I came across today's Little Paper Shop Blog challenge on Cindy's blog...yayyy! Yayyy, that I found it early so I could play, but not so much yay to what it was....a color challenge-Brilliant Blue, Pixie Pink, Real Red.....huh?? So seriously, I HATE the Bold Brights. I don't know what happened, when I first started stamping I LOVED them, and now I rarely if ever use them, and never, unless forced, do I use more than one at a time. Being a good sport, I decided to try it, but I gotta tell ya, I could just barely make myself use the Pixie Pink. I did color her bows and shoes pink, and there is a little bit in the DP(ok, I think it is Pink Passion-work with me). I stamped my Katie Cupcake on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored her with my Copics. I also paper pieced her dress with some VERY retired SU paper. She was cut out and embossed with my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties, and her layer is Real Red-which was cut the same way. My ribbon is from SU, and the buttons are also from SU(Playground).
Well, that is it for me now, thanks for stopping by!!

Little Paper Shop-Jena Rain

I was up late(probably nerves) and saw this sketch on my friend Jessica's blog, so I decided I would play long(it is for the Little Paper Shop challenge). It was a fabulous sketch, drawn up by one of my favorite sketch artists, Cindy!! I used the super cute digital stamp, Jena Rain. I printed her out, heat set her, and then colored her with my Copics. She was cut out and embossed using my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. The colors are Rose Red, Bashful Blue, and Certainly Celery. The DP is from the retired Cutie Pie DSP. I added spiral clips with SU Grosgrain ribbons on them in all my CS colors. The sentiment was punched out with all SU punches. The sentiment is from the Take Time set.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Little Paper Shop Monday

Hello everyone, and welcome BACK!! This card is my entry for this week's Little Paper Shop weekly blog challenge. This week's challenge was another sketch, and you KNOW how much I love those!! I started it by stamping my Topiary image on an MFT Perfect Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black. It was then colored in with my Copics. The image was then layered with Perfect Plum, Eggplant Envy, and Always Artichoke. My white layer is Gina K. 80lb. white, and the DP is from the VERY retired Cambridge DSP from SU. All the brads are from Hobby Lobby, and the ribbon is from SU. I did some piercing, and then slightly altered the sketch by adding my sentiment panel. It was punched out with my SU oval punches.
Be sure to check out the LPS blog for more details and to see peeks of their new sets..I am LOVING them!!

Thank You For Your Kindness

I think this new set, Garden Gate, from the Little Paper Shop is just too cute, so I had to use it again!! The image was stamped on an MFT perfect panel, and then colored with my Copics. I did paper piece the table....talk about a small space, LOL!! I used more of the DSP on the base. The colors are Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, and Chocolate Chip. All the ribbons are from SU, and the brads are from Making Memories(bought at a scrapbook store in Nashville, In.). I used my SU Circle punches for the sentiment and did a ton of paper piercing. Sorry for another short post, but it is late and I NEED to get to bed!! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!

Little Paper Shop Monday

So, I know that last week was my last official week as a guest designer for the Little Paper Shop, but I still LOVE their stamps so I am still going to play along with their Monday Blog Challenges. Today's challenge was a sketch provided by Allison, and it is a GOOD one!! You KNOW how much I love a sketch right?! For today's sketch, I used the GORGEOUS new Garden Gate stamp set. I started by stamping my main image, which is all one image, on an MFT Perfect Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored it in with my Copics. It was layered with Cameo Coral and Kiwi Kiss. The DSP is from the Walk in the Park pack from SU. All my ribbons are from SU, and the spiral clips are ones that I bought at Joann's over the weekend. They actually came with letter charms attached to them, but I just took them off. I used my scalloped edge punch to create the scallops and did a bunch of piercing.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for looking, and don't forget to enter for my BLOG CANDY!!

Sniff Sniff!!

Today is my last official Little Paper Shop challenge as their guest designer, and I gotta say, I am gonna MISS it!! I will still probably play along, but like all my OTHER challenges, I will almost always be late...sad but true!! For this week's challenge, we have this super cute sketch, but there was a twist. The twist was that you had to use a cupcake image for your sketch card. I decided to use my Katie Cupcake image for mine. I am a little mad at myself though, I cut it out too small for my taste, but it still works. I wasn't about to redo all the paper piecing though, LOL!! For my image, I stamped it on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored it in with my Copics. The base of the cupcake, her dress, and all the bows were paper pieced with some Walk in The Park DSP. I then cut it, and it's layers out with my Oval Nesties and Cuttlebug. The layers are So Saffron and Regal Rose. The brads are from the SU Rich Regals pack and the ribbons are both SU(the Saffron is from the SAB ribbon pack though). The spiral clips are from Creative Express.
Wanna play along? Just upload your creation using this sketch and your cupcake image to whatever gallery you chose using the keyword LPSC22. Then, be sure to go to the LPS Blog and leave a comment!! The winner will be chosen next Monday and will receive this Katie Cupcake set for free!!
That is it for me now, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Blessings

Hi everyone!! It is super late, actually way early, but I decided to take a nap today(Saturday) and accidentally slept for over 4hrs...yikes!! Now I am finally tired again, but before I go to bed, I wanted to share the card that I made for this week's Featured Stamper challenge. This week's FS is Dawn L...and she has a FABULOUS gallery, not to mention that fact that she is super sweet and a total riot!! I got to spend time with her behind the scenes with the Dirty Dozen, and she is just the sweetest, funniest person!! I chose this card of Dawn's to CASE, and I changed the colors, image, DP, added gold cord, changed punches, and added a couple of layers. For my card, I used the Blessings set from the Little Paper Shop. I needed a Christening card for my nephew, so I thought this would work perfect. I stamped the solid cross in Brocade Blue, then stamped the decorative cross with Versamark and embossed it with Gold EP. It was then layered with Brocade Blue CS, DCWV Gold CS, and Gina K. White. The DP is from the Prestwick DSP pack. My edge punch is from SU, as well as the Gold Cord. I used SU punches to do my sentiment, which was also embossed with Gold EP.
Well, that is it for me now, have a great day!!

For my card I stamped my Katie Cupcake image on an MFT Perfect Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then stamped it on two different pieces of Delicate Dots DSP. and used those to paper piece her dress, hair bows, and the base of the cupcake. I used my Copics to color the rest of the image. My ribbon and brads are from SU. The colors on this card are SO Saffron, Bashful Blue, and Certainly Celery.

As I said before, I was inspired to do a one layer card. I used Gina K. White(120lb), and stamped my image and sentiment directly on them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored it in with my Copics, and added some Flower Soft to the flowers. My ribbon is from MFT. I added score lines at the bottom with my ScorPal. Well, that is it for me for now!! Floral Frenzy Peek

Welcome back for day two of the Little Paper Shops May release peeks!! Today I have a peek at the fabulous new Floral Frenzy set. Before I talk about my card though, here is all the need to know info about the exciting things going on at the Little Paper Shop!!

"Jen Tapler and Susanna Boyd have been hard at work organizing "Stamping Out Alzheimer's": an amazing event that you won't want to miss!! For a mere $5 donation you will have access to exclusive challenges and fun prizes from numerous different companies. And the best part..... 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Alzheimer's Association!

Little Paper Shop is hosting a sketch challenge on the Stampin' out Alzheimer's forum and would love for you to join us. At the end of the event we will be drawing one name from all the entries to win 4 - 4x6 stamp sets. That's over $60 in value! But the only way to enter is on the Stampin' out Alzheimer's forum! Hope to see you there!"

For my card today, I used Jen's Sketch For You To Try from this past Saturday. I stamped all three flowers separately. I stamped the dark red with Riding Hood Red, and the two lighter with Pink Pirouette. I then stamped the darker outline with Bravo Burgundy and the lighter with Riding Hood Red. I cut all three out and attached to a Gina K. White oval that had been cut out with my Oval Nesties and Cuttlebug. The leaves were stamped before attaching them with Kiwi Kiss. To add some highlights, I went in with my Copics and added some shading. The DP is from the Bella Rose pack from SU. I paired it with Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red paper. My accessories are from SU and the sentiment was punched out using SU punches.

Today is also time for another Little Paper Shop blog challenge. Today's challenge is a color challenge to use Perfect and Pale Plum and Pretty In Pink. I had every intention of doing a card using the new Floral set with this combo, but things don't always go the way I plan!! I made this card a few weeks ago forgetting that I would have a new set to use, and since it is WAY to cute not to share, I decided to go ahead and share it today!! It was made using a Weekend Sketch Challenge from a couple of weeks ago. I used my Katie Mushroom image, and paired it with a sentiment from
the Topiary set. All my accessories are from SU as well as the sentiment punches. I colored the image with my Copics. Wanna play along? Be sure to leave a comment linking your colorful creation to the LPS blog on today's post, and if you use SCS or PCP, please use keyword LPSC17 so we know where to find your entries!ONE lucky winner will be chosen via Random.org and will WIN the new Flower Frenzy stamp set! Good luck and get colorful!
That is it for me now, thanks for stopping by!!

Sweet Peeks and Stampin' Out Alzheimer's

Hi and welcome to this month's Little Paper Shop release previews!! Today we have the SUPER cute new set, Sweet. It is full of super cute images that are sure to give you a tooth ache!! Before I get into the details of my card, here is some VERY IMPORTANT info!!!

At the end of the event we will be drawing one name from all the entries to win 4 - 4x6 stamp sets. That's over $60 in value! But the only way to enter is on the Stampin' out Alzheimer's forum! Hope to see you there!"
This is the sketch that we are hosting, but to be able to win, you have to donate and join the forum!! Personally, I can't think of one person I know that hasn't been directly affected by this disease so it is DEFINITELY for a good cause!! I decided to use this sketch for my peek today!! I started by stamping my cupcake on a piece of Gina K. White paper. I then colored it with my Copic markers and cut it out using my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. The main image is layered with Riding Hood Red. The DP's are both from SU...the Ballet Blue is from the Muirfield DSP and the other is from the Riding Hood Red pack. I added some ribbon on spiral clips, both from SU, and a few brads. The sentiment was stamped and then punched out using my SU oval punches. As always, I did a bunch of piercing around the edges. The other color on this card, besides Riding Hood Red and Ballet Blue, is Summer Sun.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to go around and see what the other LPS girls have been up too!!

Little Paper Shop Challenge

Every month the girls on the Little Paper Shop Design Team issue a challenge to each other that is to be posted on the 15th. This month, Silvia challenged us to make a 3D or altered item. Since this is my SECOND one for today...ya, I KNOW, I tried to keep it simple!! I decided to do a notebook for my niece Madison to draw in. Every time she is at my house, she has to use one of mine, and since they were all made for me from other people, it hurts me to let her use them...lol! I started with a regular composition notebook and covered it with Delicate Dots DSP from SU. I have a ton of this, so don't be surprised if you see a lot of it!! I then added some SU ribbons, both were part of the Sellabration Ribbon bundle. I then added a panel to the front using my Little Friend Digital image. It was colored with my copics and then layered with So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. I then added some Basic Grey buttons and it was done!! The pen just has a piece of DSP rolled up in it so that it looks like it matches...how cool am I, LOL!!

Wanna play along, just be sure to get your entry done by May 24th and uploaded to the SCS or PCP gallery using the LPSC16 keyword. Since 3D projects are a bit harder and this falls on a Friday, there will be NO LPS Monday challenge on the 18th. A prize will be given of TWO free digital images so be sure to play along!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Thank You!!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your emails, comments and kind words!! When I am having an off day, they will certainly help to lift my spirits!! I have a HUGE headache, and I haven't had a chance to stamp today, but LUCKILY, I have a few cards that I haven't shared, so I thought I would show this one today!! I made it a few weeks ago as part of the Little Paper Shop's April release. I used the new Forest Critters set. I stamped the cutie patootie porcupine and tree on Gina K. White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then paper pieced the tree with some Hawaiian Papaya DSP(which is what the rest of the card uses as well). The rest of it was colored with my Copics. I used SU ribbons and brads, and a Creative Express Spiral Clip...by the way, for those of you that are always asking where I get these, I just ordered some from AC Moore, yayy!! My sentiment is from the Little Paper Shop Puppy Love set. It was punched out with my SU oval punch, and then layered on two SU circle punches. The colors on this card are Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss. The sketch is one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketches from a few weeks ago. Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!
