TSG129 Holiday Projects

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend, and that Daylight Savings Time isn't being as mean to you as it is to me...I swear, I hate it! LOL!!

It is time for another There She Goes challenge, and this week's challenge is to make a Holiday Project. Whether it be a card, or something more, the sky's the limit!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a holiday project, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (November 14th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG129 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Now, I don't want to scare anyone, but I did NOT make a card for this post....I made, what I am calling, a Christmas Shopping List holder. I started by cutting a piece of Jellybean Green card stock 9x8 1/2. I then scored it(on the 8 1/2 length) at 4, 4 1/4 and 4 1/2. The first and third score were after thoughts, and I forgot to go back and photograph it, but since my notepad has some girth, I wanted to make it more like a book.

Then for the ribbon closure, I used red line tape, and some White Satin Edge Grosgrain from the Ribbon carousel. The red line tape will help to make sure it doesn't move. To make sure it was straight, I used my Scor Pal as a guide.

I then finished the inside by adding my notepad, from the $1 bin at Michael's, and some Jingle paper from Lily Bee Designs. At the base, I created a pocket with some more Jellybean Green card stock, and the MFT Simply Scalloped Medium Die-namics. I put a piece of white paper inside it to show that you can keep notes, receipts, just whatever you need!! My other card stock colors are Wild Cherry, and Sno Cone.

For the outside, I stamped my girl from Wrapped In Joy on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. Her dress was paper pieced with some more of the yummy paper. I then added more paper to the base, a spiral clip with some more ribbon on it, and lots of brads. For my final embellishment, I added some silver snowflakes at the bottom. I believe I purchased them at Wal-mart last year.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! Be sure to head to the There She Goes blog for more inspiration and to play along!!
