Paper Pretties is having a release on the March 1st so that means it is time for another CUTIE PIE CONTEST!!! All you have to do to enter is upload a card you have made using Paper Pretties stamps to the Cutie Pie Contest gallery over at the Paper Pretties website. Entries must be in by no later than 8pmCST on February 28th to be considered for the prize. Besides getting to call yourself a CutiePie, you will also receive all the new stamps that are released on the 1st!! Good luck!!
I actually made this card back when Taylor had her Anniversary cupcake sketches, but I wasn't able to show it since the Bunny Hop stamp was unavailable..now that she is being released, I can free her for all to see....ahhh, feels good!! I don't know about you all, but when I make something, I HAVE to share it! It kills me to keep my work a secret, so I try not to work to far in advance. With all that I have going on right now, that just wasn't possible!! So anyway, this card was made for Donna Baker's sketch. I used some retired Loves Me DSp from SU to make the squares on the back. The main image is one of the stamps being released on Sunday called Bunny Hop Sophia. She is so CUTTTTEEEE!!! I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Gina K. White paper and then colored her in with my Copics. I did a ton of piercing, used a white gel pen to do some faux stitching, and added brads to the corners. The sentiment was punched out with my Large Oval punch from SU. I just love this stamp, and I hope you do too! Wanna see some more samples for this release, please check out my fellow Pretties who are posting samples today...trust me, you won't be disappointed!!

The Final Peek!!
So here we are at the final day of sneak peeks at the new There She Goes sets...how did that happen??? If you haven't been paying attention or you missed out, we have been doing peeks for the last three days of all the SUPER AWESOME new sets being released by TSG on Sunday March 1st. Today's set is called Nature of Friendship and it is GORGEOUS!! Wanna win this set, all you have to do is leave a comment on the Nature of Friendship blog posts on each of the trendsetters blogs. Then you need to go to Jessica's blog and leave your name in the Mr. Linky box provided. All entries must be in by midnight Friday/Saturday night. Also due Friday night, are your entries into this months Bling it On challenge-to add any kind of bling to your TSG card. Then on Saturday, Jessica will be showing the FULL sets on her blog, and that night, we will be having a release party at Paper Craft Planet from 7to9pm PST.
Enough chatter, now on to the fun stuff!! For my card today, I used one of my FAVORITE papers, Georgia Peach from SU. I stamped the grass with Old Olive ink and the Butterflies with Regal Rose. The other butter fly was made with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch. I cut it, and it layers out with my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. I then added some ribbon on spiral clips and layered it on top of my DSP panel. I finally used my new border punch from SU..yuummmm!! All the accessories are from SU except for the spiral clips. Well, that is it for me now, now go hop around and see what the other Trendsetters have cooked up for you!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!
Limited Florals
I saw today's Limited Supplies challenge last night before I went to bed, but I was too tired to play. This was the first thing that I did this morning, since I had all night to think about it!! This card is SUO and I THINK it follows all the rules, which were:
What this week’s challenge entails making your very OWN patterned/designer paper. I get comments on my cards all the time where someone will say “Great DSP!” Funny thing is, I have usually made it myself! Here are the rules:Using only ONE stamp set for your entire creation (yup, you read that right, just ONE), make a card that features patterned paper you make yourself using the images from the stamp set you select. Don’t worry, you can still stamp something as a focal point, I’d just like you to use your hand-stamped patterned paper somewhere on the card.Any sentiments you incorporate must also come from the same ONE stamp set.As far as punches/Nestabilties, diecuts, etc., you may only use these IF you are going to use them as part of your sentiment ONLY! Do not frame/mount any images using punches/diecuts, etc. You CAN, however, handcut any images you want!!And if that weren’t enough, the only embellishments you can use are ribbon and brads. Also, NO Cuttlebugging or texture plates. We want to see your lovely patterned paper!!!How’s that for limited?? I just want to give y’all an opportunity to go back to the basics . . . paper, stamps and ink!! Have fun!!
I used my new Fifth Avenue Florals to make my DP(Black Stazon on Kraft). I then made my main image by stamping the flower in Baja Breeze and then the sentiment over it in Black Stazon. I used my Valet ribbon originals, and two Kraft Corduroy Button Brads....I figured anything with the prongs on the back is a brad, so this TOTALLY counts!! A little bit of piercing and it was done...easy peasy!! I will have three posts today, so if you came straight to this one, you might check out my other two!! Thanks for stopping by!!
