Ribbon Carousel/Nikki Sivils Blog Hop

The Ribbon Carousel Crewmates are teaming up with the talented designers from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker  to bring you a blog hop jam packed with crafty eye candy and some prizes to sweeten the pot at the end of the hop!! I had so much fun going through all their paper collections...it almost made me want to be a scrapbooker! LOL

Instead of scrapbooking, I made a card using the new Donkey University set from There She Goes. I LOVE this cute little donkey and his nifty shirt sayings. I paired him with the Nikki Sivils Noah Collection Kit. I used two different papers from the kit, which I paired with Fossil(MFT), Really Rust(SU), and Night of Navy(SU) cardstock. My ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel-White Twill and Natural Jute Twine. To finish, I added some brads from Creative Expressions.

Now, lets talk prizes! The Ribbon Carousel will be giving away a $25 gift certificate to the Ribbon Carousel Store and Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker will be giving away a scrapbooking kit (winner's choice!)  Enjoy the hop and be sure to leave some blog love along your way to be eligible for the prizes!  Winners will be announced Saturday night at 8:00 PM EST.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!

Back to School with the Ribbon Carousel

Hey Everyone!! It's time for another Ribbon Carousel challenge, and
This week our super talented Crewmate Wendy Ramlakhan is challenging us to create something with a "Back to School" theme.  The kids will be going back before we know it so get crackin' on making some back to school treats for the kids and the teachers!

For my card, I used the Pure Innocence You Make the Grade set. I stamped her on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. I followed this month's Guest Designer sketch from MFT, too. My cardstock colors are Bazzill Peppermint, Blu Raspberry(MFT),Orange Fizz(MFT), and Sweet Tooth(MFT). My colors were inspired by the new MME A Mother's Love paper pad...it is SO gorgeous!! I used White Twill ribbon, and Red Jute Twine for my ribbons, and the MFT By the Letters Die-namics for my letters. The only other things I added are Michael's brads, a Creative Express Spiral Clip, and a tab cut out with the MFT Mini Tabs Die-namics.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check out the Ribbon Carousel Blog for more details and samples! Better check out the MFT Guest designer contest, too!!

RCC64-Happy Holidays

It's time for another Ribbon Carousel challenge, and our one and only Lindsay Amrhein is challenging us to whip us some Christmas creations for this week challenge! I will be SO happy when July is over and people quit forcing me to make Christmas cards early, LOL!!

For my card I used the Pure Innocence Stocking Girl from My Favorite Things. I stamped her on some Authentique Festive paper and  X-Press It Blending card, and then colored it with Copics. I also paper pieced her pajamas and her stocking. The top of the stocking has Liquid Applique to make it look puffy. My cardstock colors are Gumdrop Green(MFT), Wild Cherry(MFT), Hot Fudge(MFT), and Sweet Tooth(MFT) card stock. My ribbon is Walnut Vintage Seam Binding from the Ribbon Carousel. My brads are from Michael's. I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics for my sentiment, the Photo Corners Die-namics for my corner, and my scallops are from the Little Open Scalloped Border Die-namics.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

TSG161 Winged Things

You know when you start making a card...and you see it in your head...then you put it on paper and it isn't ANYTHING like what you expected it to be? Well, that happens to me very rarely, but tonight, this card took on a life of it's own. Maybe it's all the stuff going on in my "real life", but wow...how out of my element was THIS? Only two layers on the base? And would you LOOK at all that cutting? What in the world....LOL!!

My card is for this week's There She Goes challenge, to make a card using "Winged Things". It is There She Goes Again week, and this week we are featuring three older sets, all with wings....including the set I have used today(Bee Happy), Spread Your Wings, and Love Birds. All gorgeous sets, and PERFECT for making your creations SOAR!!

So, not much to tell about my card, so I will list the supplies!! I used the Bee Happy set, paired with some Cosmo Cricket Baby Jane paper, Black Licorice(MFT), Banana Split(Bazzill), and X-Press It Blending Card card stock. I stamped all my images in Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored them with my Copics. I cut out three of the flowers, and all of the bees and popped them up. My brads are from Michael's, my spiral clip from Creative Express, and my Black Twill ribbon, and Lemondrop Twine are all from the Ribbon Carousel.

Speaking of the Ribbon Carousel, this card also works PERFECTLY for this week's challenge, Heavy Metal!! What card do I make that ISN'T covered with brads, right? LOL!!

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out both challenges, and I will see you back tomorrow night with this month's VIP hop from My Favorite Things!!!

My challenge to you all this week is to make a birthday card, easy peasy!! I combined this week's Ribbon Carousel challenge with this week's There She Goes challenge. I LOVE the inspiration photo this week, so I was excited to get to play along!

I used the new Oh Crop set for my card today, along with this week's Mojo Monday sketch....which I modified just a tiny bit. I moved the sentiment, which was place on a flag from the MFT First Place Award Die-namics. I used the MFT Circle Stax Die-namics and the Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics. My card stock is the new Bazzill Gold Coin and PTI's Aqua Mist. For my card base, I used Sweet Tooth from MFT, and my paper is the Baby Jane Deck from Cosmo Cricket. To embellish it, I used Champagne Vintage Seam Binding, and some Michael's brads.

RCC52 Word to Your Mother

The name of this challenge is cracking me up, but I wouldn't expect ANYTHING less from Wendy Ramlakhan...she's HILARIOUS! She is also this week's hostess for the Ribbon Carousel challenge!

This week Wendy, our resident Coloring Goddess on the Ribbon Carousel Crew, is challenging us to create something with a Mother's Day sentiment!  The prize up for grabs is a $5.00 gift card to the Ribbon Carousel Store

For my card, I used the Clearly Sentimental about Mothers set, and paired it with October Afternoon Farmhouse paper. I used the Mini Rolled Rose Die-namics for my Berrylicious and Marigold Morning flowers. My sentiment was stamped on one of the layers from the Well Worn Labels Die-namics. My card base is Going Gray, which matches my Grey Mist Seam Binding PERFECTLY!! I used the Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics for my flag panels behind the sentiment, and anchored them with Michael's brads.

My sketch is this week's Deconstruted Sketch which the Ribbon Carousel is sponsoring as well!!

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies and another sentiment.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

I paper pieced her outfit with the Echo Park This&That paper from the kit, and then layered her with Quartz, Lizard, and Chocolate paper all from the kit. My sentiment was punched out with Oval punches, and my brads and ribbon were also included in the kit. I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch, as well. RCC45 Showered With Twine

Hey Everyone, and Happy Tuesday! It is time for this week's Ribbon Carousel challenge, and even though it's not my week to post, my card fit the challenge perfectly, so I went with it!

This week's challenge is being sponsored by The Twinery, and our challenge was to OF COURSE use Twine...which I use all the time, so no biggie, right!

For my card tonight,I CASEd a card I had made previously using the MFT Umbrella and Die-namics set. I had it requested as an order for a Wedding card, using more "peacock-y" colors, so I hope Igot it close to right, LOL! I used the MME Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky pad, and paired it with Night of Navy(SU), Blu Raspberry, and Sour Apple(MFT) card stock. I used both the Notched Tag, and Hearts Die-namics for my hearts. My sentiment was cut out with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.  For my embellishments, I used brads from Michael's, Satin Edged White Grosgrain Ribbon and Caribbean Twine from the Ribbon Carousel. I used the Center Step Card tutorial on SCS for my design, as well.

For the inside, I used a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Romance, and Inspired by Flowers 2.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now! Here is a list of all the designers participating in today's challenge/hop. Have fun, and happy hopping!!
