The flower was created with the Layered Rose Die-namics, and I used the Small Open Scalloped Border Die-namics. For my embellishments, I used Sweet Tooth Grosgrain and Michael's brads. My sentiment was stamped on the Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

August Creative Challenge-Mini Books

Hey everyone and welcome to this month's My Favorite Things Creative Challenge!!! This month's challenge was SUPER fun!! If you aren't familiar with the challenge, here is a little background:

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to create a mini-book.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a mini book for you today!

For my project tonight, one of the most INVOLVED things I have EVER done, I started with a 6x6 Chipboard album from Clear Scraps.

I added paper to the front and back of each page from the new MME Summer Splash paper pad. SUCH fun patterns and colors!!

I chose a photo of each of my nieces and nephews to feature on each page, so I could make a brag book of my favorite people!!! The images were then layered with two of either Wild Cherry, Jellybean Green, Sno Cone, Banana Split(Bazzill),or Night of Navy(SU).  My oldest niece Taylor starts middle school this week...it's almost too hard to believe!! She has the most gorgeous red hair, and is smart and beautiful to boot!!

I used the Complimentary Greetings set on each two page spread, and on three of the pages I used Pure Innocence image. They are the: Boy and Dog-Dog Gone Cute, Feelin' Froggy, and I Love You This Big . This is my niece Madison...also known as my mini me!! She is smart, beautiful, and funny....and she just happens to kinda look like me. I could cuddle her for DAYS!

I used the Little Open Scalloped Strip Die-namics border on some pages, too. The pages I didn't use the Little Open Scalloped Strip on, I used the Open Scalloped Doily Die-namics. Katie just turned 7, in fact her party was today(Monday). She has the BEST personality, and the prettiest smile...you can't help but just LOVE her!

To accent the kids, I used the Lead the Way Die-namics. I just LOVE what these cute arrows do for your projects!!  Jared has grown SO much since the last time I put a picture of him on my blog...I could cry. I love this little guy so VERY much, and miss getting to see him everyday like I did when he was little!

Each page has one of the Cloud Stax Die-namics on it as well. I used them to accent their names which were cut out of the By the Letters Die-namics. Isn't Ian so big washing his hands...or maybe he's playing in the water. Trust me...there is NO telling what this cutie is up to!

To finish each page, I used the By the Numbers Die-namics to add their current ages....I have to say, this picture of my nephew Mark makes me giggle like a fiend!! I LOVE the look on his face...TOO funny!!

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now!! Head to Kim's Blog for a full list of Designers playing along today, and have a great day!!

Back To School...

We are celebrating back to school time this week at There She Goes with our monthly There She Goes Again week!! This month's sets all have a school like theme, so we decided to make this month's challenge a Back To School challenge.

For my card, I used one of the TSGA sets, Believe in You. I stamped my girl on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. My background was made using the Rounded Banner and Fishtail Stax Die-namics from MFT. My paper is the Cosmo Cricket Odds&Ends line. I paired it with Fossil(MFT), Wild Cherry(MFT), Sage Shadow(SU), and Whip Cream(MFT) card stock. To finish off my card, I used the Ivory Seam Binding from the Ribbon Carousel, and some brads from Michael's...ok, a lot of brads, LOL!

Well, that is it for me for now! Want to play along? Here's all the need to know details:

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using the back to school theme, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (August 20th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG169 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Have a great day!!

I am even LATER for this week's There She Goes challenge, Get Sentimental...so better go check that out, too!! All you have to do to play along is have the main focus of your card by your sentiment!!

For my card, I used the new Beach Bum set from There She Goes. I stamped my sentiment and stars on X-Press It Blending card. My stars were colored with Copics, and then cut out. The paper I used is from the Authentique Nest Endless & Fair Weather. It was paired with Banana Split(Bazzill), Orange Fizz(MFT), and Night of Navy (SU). I'm Batty For You

Hey there, long time no see!! Life has been CRAZY hectic this week, so I haven't had much time to post...or think for that matter, LOL! I decided, once again, to combine this week's Crazy 4 Challenges and Kraftin' Kimmie challenges. This week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge is to make a card using white on white with your only color being in your image. The Kimmie challenge was to make a  card using only animal or insect images.

Well, I discovered I don't have any animal stamps from KKE that I could use except this bat from the  Batty Princess set. So, I stamped the bat several times on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored them with my Copics. I made a small background, then cut some of them out so they would appear to be flying. I used two different ribbons from the Ribbon Carousel: Silky Crushed White ribbon, and some White Net Ribbon(un-wired). I used the MFT Double Scalloped Border Die-namics, and I even ran one of the white layers through my Cuttlebug with the Swirls folder.

Well, that is it for me for now!!! Be sure to check out the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge and the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge for your chance to play along.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I used MFT buttons in Red Hot, Sweet Tooth, and Black Licorice. I tied Charcoal Twine through them, and added some brads from Michael's, and a spiral clip with some Black Licorice Grosgrain. To finish, I used the Lead the Way Die-namics for my sentiment.

August New Product Tour!!!

That's right everyone, we have made it through teasers, and now, all the new sets are available in the My Favorite Things Store!!!! Before you go shop, be sure to hop around to all the designers and leave them some love! You never know who has the candy!!

I told you the other day that one of the new a la modes was near and dear to my heart, and here it is: 80's girl!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE her!!! I have been waiting rather patiently for her to come out, and I am SO happy she is finally here, rocking her leg warmers and side pony tail!!

For my card, I stamped her on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then layered with Wild Cherry, Orange Fizz, and Black Licorice cardstock. I used the Basic Grey Offbeat paper pad for the background. For my sentiment, I used the Designer Labels 4 Stax Die-namics, and to accent it, I used one of the Lead the Way Die-namics arrows. To finish my card off, I used the Black Licorice Grosgrain, and some Maraschino Twine.

For the inside, I used the same supplies as I did for the outside.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

The Cherry on Top is earned when you spend $150 before shipping and tax, earning you $15 off your order. Once that amount is hit, the coupon code will pop up on your screen, which you can write down and then apply to your order in your shopping cart. If you remove things from your cart, making it fall below $150, the coupon code will be removed automatically.

Also, remember that SOMEONE out there is giving out blog candy, and the BEST way to win, is to comment on ALL the designers blogs!! Good luck!!

Now, off to Kim's Blog for a full list of designer's participating!! Happy Stamping!!
