This month's creative challenge from My Favorite Things is to make a Monochromatic Colored card....YIKES!! I was SO scared, as were a LOT of my design teammates, but seriously, this technique is SUPER easy and STUNNING...if you ask me!!
As for the Ribbon Carousel challenge, here are all the details!!
This week we’re talking shabby... vintage... shabby chic!!!
*** Please remember that your creation must have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, seam binding (basically anything that comes on a spool).***
For my card today, I started by stamping my Flappers Hold Me Tight image on a piece of X-Press It Blending card. I then colored my image using only my W1, W3, W5, and W7 Copics. Seriously, isn't that the coolest thing EVER??!! I then layered them with Black Licorice. My DP is from the Lilybee Designs This&That pack. I used my new Decorative Doily Duo for my layers under the image, and then used the Perfect Petal Trio Die-namics for my flowers. I rolled them up in my hand, and then added a filigree flower brad to the center of them. My ribbons are from May Arts and from MFT.
For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, another sentiment from the set, and I stamped the image as well. For my scalloped layer, I used the Dizzy Border Die-namics.
Well, that is it for me for now!! To see a list of other designer's playing along in this month's creative challenge, be sure to head on over to Kim's blog.
