ll set up the way she wanted it, and then she played with it for about 20minutes, and was bored-$30 well spent if you ask me!!(NOT!!) Anyway, while she played with her set, I whipped out this card for the ways to use it challenge. Note to self- find your air art tool......where the heck could it be????I seriously scoured every container and basket in my room, and it has gone missing, so I used what little bit of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist(snow or icicle-I can't remember) to "spray" on my card(which is what the challenge was). I don't know why I bothered though because for the life of me, I can't get it to show up for me!! So I guess you have to take my word for it, it is there!! The main image is from Rubbernecker and was colored with my SU markers. The rest is pretty easy!! Mal is done soaking in the garden tub(been in there for an hour) so I am going to rush off. Thanks for looking and have a great day!!! Oh yeah----This uses Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday sketch too!! stamps-Rubbernecker and Whipper Snapper for sentiment
paper- Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, Sage Shadow, Whisper White and Pool Party DSP
ink-Black Stazon
tools- Soft Subtles brads, SU markers, ticket corner punch, white taffeta, bashful blue grosgrain, and blue gingham from American Crafts, Prismacolor marker
Hi Jessie!! You are THE best auntie-cousin ever!!! Yeah, I rarely bought those outrageously expensive and plastic toys for my kiddos.....they just end up in a garage sale or being busted into pieces!! LOL This card is sooo precious....what a cutie that ellie is!!! I have misplaced my air tool also......do you suppose someone is stealing them???? LOL Well.....have a fun night!!!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet!
ReplyDeleteMany Blessings,
M.
Woah, girlie! You had a full day! Kids do that to ya--even other's peoples--isn't great that we get to have the fun and then send them back, hehe! I totally sympathize with your story. Everything my nephew (6) wants is totally expensive...checked out the price of Lego sets lately--Crikey! It sounds like a blast though and what a lucky little girl to have you. You are making wonderful memories with her I'm sure she'll remember always. Now this card, how do you do it?! You've colored it so fabulously! I love your dp and ribbons, so clean and crisp! Awesome card, Jessie! Have a fun slumber party, lol!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card! Sounds like an interesting day . . !:)
ReplyDeleteHi Jessie, I just found your blog tonight and I LOVE it!! I love your use of color and the layering on your cards!! I've added your blog to the list I stalk:)
ReplyDeleteYou sound like the best friend a kid could want! Hope you had fun with her too.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so cute! I can never just whip out a card when I have 20 minutes!! I need to plan and think and overthink almost everything I do! Arrggh! Well done! Have a great night!

So cute! Love all your ribbon!
ReplyDeleteKids are so influenced by their friends and TV. I just refuse to play that game...all my friends have it, I need it. I think when they spend their own money, they learn to make better choices...eventually.
BTW...got your card today! Thanks! I'm going to post it on my blog tomorrow.
You so sound like me with my nephew...I really don't understand but why oh why do these companies do this to kids. And what's up with the 20 minute attention span? Does something go off in their internal clock that tell them, okay, you've had enough, move on...anyway, so sweet of you to hang out with her!
ReplyDeleteLove our card - lovin' Ellie colored so sweetly like this and the dp with the ribbon is the perfect touch!
I used to buy my kids the expensive toys, they would play with the box it came in instead! Love your layering and your colors, beautiful card!
