June Creative Challenge-Frame It

Hey Everyone!!Are you ready, because it is time for this month's Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things!!

Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we've been asked to Frame It! Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a framed piece of art for you.

For my project today, I made this as a Get Well present for my boyfriend's daughter. She had major spine surgery today, and this is for her for when she gets home. :)

For my frame, I used a shadow box I bought at Michael's. It was in a 3pack for $19.99(on sale for $9.99-score!)!! I started by covering the back with Natural card stock. I cut it to size, and cut out the holes to adjust for the frame holders.

I then stamped my Pure Innocence You Color My World on X-Press It blending card, and then colored it with my Copics.

I then stamped my sentiment from the Clearly Sentimental about Art set.

I then cut out the entire panel, with room at the top for me to put one of the Artist Palette and Brush Die-namics at the top. The palette and brush were cut out of Natural card stock, and my paint splotches, along with the layering on the panel are: Red Hot, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Night of Navy(SU), Grape Jelly, and Grapesicle. On the brush, I colored the bristles with my T7 Copic, and added some red to the tip with my R59.

My rainbow as cut out once from ALL the colors of card stock I mentioned before using the Rainbow Die-namics. My clouds were cut out of Sweet Tooth card stock with the Cloud Trio Die-namics.

I then cut out the letters to spell out art from the By The Letters Die-namics. I used Red Hot, Sour Apple, and Orange Fizz.

For a little extra interest, and because I had a LOT of leftover cuts from the  Artist Pallette and Brush Die-namics, I used all the brushes and ink spots to create a background.

To finish, I added buttons that I purchased at Hobby Lobby in a 1lb bag(Buttons Galore I believe), and added them to the edge of the frame.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now! Coming (sort of)live from Riley's Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis, this is a very tired almost-step mom signing off! Have a great day, and be sure to check out the MFT Blog and see what the rest of my teammates have created for today!
