Hey Everyone!!!
In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're going to "be negative." Our designers will show you what you can do with the negative space after you cut out your Die-namics, or the other half of patterned paper, card stock or felt that is leftover when you're done with your Die-namics! Visit Kim's Blog to see exactly what we've been up to, you'll find a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!

For my card tonight, I started by stamping my Pure Innocence- Have Hope set on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. I cut her out after coloring her, and paper piecing her heart with some Authentique Uncommon paper. To create my Flourish effect, I cut the flourishes, using my Fancy Flourish Die-namics, out of my Authentique Uncommon paper. I then used the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics to cut out my sentiment panel. I then layered it on top of some Black Licorice card stock, except the sentiment. For the sentiment, I put a small white panel with my sentiment stamped on it. It is slightly popped up, but it is hard to tell in the photo. I used MFT Black Collection ribbon, and some Michael's brads, as well.
For the inside, I cut the main piece of the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics out of Black Licorice Cardstock, and then cut the smaller piece out of the center. I used the actual flourishes from the front of the card, and popped up the scalloped circle panel. Using the extra pieces, or in this case, the actual die cuts, on the inside of your card is a GREAT way to use those up, and it makes the card so much more personal.
Here are the Die-namics I used on my card.
