Okay, and now the fun stuff. Here is Jared in his bassinet when I finally decided to lay him down. You can't tell from the photo, but he is gaining weight like a champ!! Since he came home from the hospital, he has gained a pound!!woohoo!! I love how he sleeps like a person with his little arm kicked out. The other picture is of my DH holding him. I have to tell you, it brings tears to my eyes just to see Jared in his arms. He stares at him in amazement the whole time he holds him. We are both struggling right now with the whole emotional aspect of this, and up until recently, I wasn't sure he felt the same way I did. I love my sister, and I am so happy for her, but it is still hard for me. I will not give up my fight for a child until the day comes that I have one to hold of my own, and it was nice to realize that I wasn't alone. Travis and I even talked about adoption, so it is nice to know that the option is open for him to. Sorry to dump all that on you all, didn't mean to get all deep and emotional on ya!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!
You are not alone. In the year after we got married, all 3 of my bridesmaids, my 2 sisters-in-law and 3 cousins were all pregnant at the same time! And I was devastated! After 2-1/2 years of trying (10 months with professional help including 8 rounds of artificial insemination) it was finally my turn!
ReplyDeleteAnd it will be your turn too! Hang in there!

Love your cupcake card, and that sweet baby. Thanks for playing with along with my sketch.
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable and so is your nephew!! Too cute!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and I wish you luck !!
ReplyDeletegreat card, Jessie! I think you captured Travis' feelings in that picture. Adoption is admirable (and something near & dear to MY heart) seek God in prayer...He can certainly bless you in that role whether or not you give birth (and you will have the capacity to love him/her just as if not more than if you did) HUGS!
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful, but your nephew definitely takes the cake. Best of luck to you and hubby!
ReplyDeleteFirstly I love your card (as I LOVE all your creations!) - you inspire me every day! I can't begin to understand how difficult it is for you to have a baby, but I will pray for you, hang in there, your time will come!

OK...could Big Trav be any cuter!! No wonder you have been hiding him!!!

Your card is simply and totally cute - love that cupcake pyramid!!! As for the picture of that sweet nephew with your DH, it is totally precious!! Hang in there, it will happen, one way or another...have faith!! God knows what he is doing and adoption is a fabulous option! My SIL could not have children and has adopted two boys and could not be happier! And, dump all you want....it's your blog! :-)

Hi Jessie your card is just adorable, LOVE the fun design!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing some pictures of your sweet nephew, he is such a little sweetheart!
Many hugs,
Jennifer :)
Your card is adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour day will come, Jessie! Someone as caring as you will be a mother some day...don't give up hope!!
Don't give up! 39 years ago my husband & I went through the adoption screening and were just months from having an adopted daughter when I became pregnant!!! I thought my son was a miracle, which would mean I had 2 miracles because I went on to have another child......you never know what's in store for you,
ReplyDeleteJessie, never give up hope. I was told by doctors that there would only be a 20% chance for me to ever get pregnant and after many years of nothing, I finally got pregnant at 35 and four years later when we moved to Japan I got pregnant again. You are still young, don't give up hope, you'll be blessed with a little miracle too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sabrina
